Specifics of emergencies in gynecology and obstetrics
PUPÍKOVÁ, Lenka
The bachelor thesis deals with the topic "Specifics of emergencies in gynecology and obstetrics". It concists of two parts, theoretical and practical. In theoretical part, we provide information on individual emergencies in gynecology and obstetrics. We deal at emergencies, how they manifest, what the risk factors may be and what treatment is in pre-hospital emergency care. In gynecological emergencies we discuss emergencies such as ectopic pregnancy, adnexal torsion, ovarian cyst rupture, endometriosis, ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, pelvic inflammatory disease and pathological gynecological bleeding. In obstetrics we describe hypertensive conditions in pregnancy, preeclampsia, eclampsia, HELLP syndrome, abortive birth, breech birth, umbilical cord prolapse, placental abruption, placenta previa, amniotic fluid embolism, postpartum hemorrhage and cardiopulmonary resuscitation of pregnant women. In the practical part, we present information collected from interviews with paramedics. The information collected was analysed and divided into 11 categories. The goal of thesis was - 1. To map individual emergencies in gynecology and obstetrics. 2. To map the procedures of paramedics in gynecology and obstetrics emergencies. We believe that we have succeeded in meeting our goals. The results of the research can be used to create recommended procedures in gynecological and obstetrics emergencies.
Comparison of knowledge of laymen and experts about anthropogenic emergencies within the operation of NPP Temelín
ŠPLÍCHAL, Vojtěch
Awareness of an emergency within a nuclear power plant is important for the safety of plant workers and the civilian population. This thesis is a report of applied quantitative research meeting the global objective and three sub-objectives. The global objective within the thesis (the development of the civil protection with the description of the gradual development of nuclear power plants with the use for peaceful purposes, the description of the risks, radiation emergencies and measures for the civil protection that are associated with the operation of nuclear power plants.) has been fulfilled within the theoretical part. Within the global objective of the research, a questionnaire with the basic parameters of the initial theory (civil protection theory) and selected operational parameters from the field of nuclear power plants operation was developed. Furthermore, three sub-objectives were generated related to the confirmation of hypotheses H1, H2 and H3. H1: The empirical distribution of the knowledge of the general public about anthropogenic emergencies within the operation of Temelín NPP is close to a normal distribution. H2: The empirical distribution of the knowledge of the professional public about anthropogenic emergencies within the operation of Temelín NPP is far from the normal distribution. H3: The knowledge of the general and expert public about anthropogenic emergencies within the operation of Temelín NPP is different at the chosen level of statistical significance. The hypotheses H1 and H2 were tested using mathematical and descriptive statistics. The verification of hypothesis H3 was performed using mathematical analysis methods. The global objective was met using the methods of systems analysis. To meet and confirm the sub-objectives, one dimensional and two dimensional statistical analysis methods were used. The theoretical contributions of this thesis are the confirmation of the applicability of one dimensional and two dimensional statistical analyses in conjunction with the research variables "Knowledge of the general public", "Knowledge of the professional public" and "Types of theoretical distributions". The practical contribution is the normality of knowledge in the general public and the distance from normality in the professional public. The assumption of a distance from normality for the expert public was confirmed, but it is questionable whether experts should score higher with regard to the regularity of training for personnel entering the controlled area and vital areas within the Temelín NPP operation. For follow-up work, the observed distance from normality in the expert community could be the basis for further investigation along with the analysis of individual questions of the questionnaire. This could, for example, lead to a more optimal structuring of the training of the workers (professional public) on the identified areas.
Preparation of the municipality for solving emergencies and crisis situations
MÁŠKA, Dominik
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to analyse the preparedness of mayors and municipal authorities to deal with emergencies and crisis situations. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis focuses on the analysis of relevant literature and legislation, which is closely related to the duties of the mayor and municipal authorities in the field of preparation and management of emergencies and crisis situations in the municipality. The emphasis is mainly on the obligations of municipal authorities in the field of public protection and related laws. Along with the preparation and management of emergencies or crisis situations, we encounter concepts where their correct and uniform understanding is important for an adequate approach to the emergency and the application of prepared measures. For this reason, the theoretical part of the bachelor thesis focuses, among other things, on these concepts and measures. For the practical part of the bachelor thesis the hypothesis "Mayors and municipal authorities are prepared to deal with emergencies and crisis situations with different levels of preparedness" is chosen. In order to refute or confirm the hypothesis, data from 52 questionnaires filled in by municipal mayors or other competent persons focused on the issue were processed. The survey was based on the results of questionnaires sent to municipalities located in the Czech Republic. The results of the questionnaires show that with regard to the possible threats to the municipality and the number of inhabitants in the municipality, the preparedness of the municipality for dealing with emergencies and crisis situations varies and the hypothesis is confirmed.

Illegal arming and misuse of firearms
HLINOVSKÝ, Jakub
This thesis is focusing on the issue of illegal arming and misuse of firearms. The exact number of illegal weapons and their incidence is virtually undetectable. Illegal armaments and with that closely related misuse of firearms are global problems, which are not necessarily connected with criminal activities. The objective of this thesis is to theoretically and empirically map the issues of illegal arming and misuse of firearms in the Czech Republic. In the introductory theoretical section are define fundamental concepts and summarize the Czech "weapon" legislation in force. The section also describes the preparation for the implementation of European norms and with that connected preparation of the Czech weapon legislation change. The section follows with a description of the types of weapons, methods of obtaining legal weapons and firearms license, incursion of weapons into the black market, illegal weapons, their legalization and use of legislation in the fight against illegal armaments. There are also specific cases connected to the misuse of firearms, which illustrates the topicality of the addressed topic. The data, of the practical part of the study, were obtained from the official statistics of the crime department and statistics from the Police Presidium of the Czech Republic. The objective of the study is to descriptively map and analyse development of emergencies with the use of firearms in the Czech Republic in the years 2010 - 2019. Three basic research questions are formulated, to which an answer will be sought. The questions will be answered using the mapping of the development of illegal arming and the misuse of firearms in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the definition of the activities of individual components of the integrated rescue system in the intervention against an active shooter and legislative measures focusing on the issue of firearms in the civilian sector. In the period under review the results of the collected data show that the incidence of cases of illegal arming stagnates and the misuse of firearms has been declining for a long time. Legally held firearms are more often misused to commit crimes. It was also found that weapons are the most frequently misused for dangerous threats, intentional assault and robbery. The results of the research and the conclusions can be used for study purposes and as material for the protection of the population. It is important to address this issue, as the effects of illegal arming are significant. The long-standing unresolved issue of illegal weapons could cause many serious problems with an impact on human health, lives, the economy or possibly society as a whole.

PETŘEKOVÁ, Daniela
The aim of the work was to conduct research in the field of population protection focused on the tasks and activities of units of the voluntary fire brigade of municipalities. For this purpose, the study of laws, decrees and professional literature focusing on the protection of the population was used together with the use of information obtained from the Fire Rescue Corps of the South Bohemian Region, the Institute of Population Protection, the study of Population Protection with a focus on CBRNE at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice and websites focusing on this area. In the theoretical part of the diploma thesis, the relevant laws, other legal regulations, professional literature and other information sources in the field of population protection were analyzed. These include warning and informing the population, evacuation, hiding, decontamination and individual protection. Information on selected emergencies is also described here. In the practical part, records of excursions at the Institute of Population Protection in Lázně Bohdaneč, training of commanders of units of the voluntary fire brigade of municipalities in the South Bohemian Region and expert consultations with members of the Fire Rescue Corps of the South Bohemian Region and selected members of the volunteer fire brigade of Dubičné. Within the practical part, cooperation was established with the authors of selected Internet sources, who provided consent to the inclusion of the QR code of their site in the practical part. Through the Statistical Monitoring of Events, the activity of units of the voluntary fire brigade of municipalities in the protection of the population was evaluated. A set was created that will enable the education of members of the units of the voluntary fire brigade of municipalities in the field of protection of the population together with the support of the activities of the members of the units in the performance of the given tasks.

Readiness of Social Service Providers to Emergencies in the District of Frydek-Mistek.
VALÁŠKOVÁ, Diana
This bachelor thesis observes readiness of social service providers for emergencies in the district of Frýdek-Místek. It assesses staff awareness and overall preparedness of social service providers in emergencies and also compares the findings with those obtained within the South Bohemian Region. The theoretical part of my thesis deals with the topic of social services and emergencies. The chapter on social services introduces basic concepts of the field, individual types of social services and their description. The following chapter focuses on emergencies -- it defines the basic terminology, familiarises with the types of emergencies and describes the territory of the Frýdek-Místek district in terms of its threats, which are described in more detail. The research part of the thesis was based on a questionnaire survey. The questionnaires were intended for the directors and responsible managers of social service providers -- the qualitative research method was used for this target group -- as well as for the staff of social service providers, using quantitative research. Social facilities selected for this purpose had to correspond with two criteria - the first criterion being the social facilities provided residential form of social service, and the second being suitable for the disabled. The questionnaire survey revealed the unreadiness of the social service providers for emergency incidents in the Frýdek-Místek district. The results did not reach the established success rate of 80% and discovered that the staff of these researched facilities were not informed sufficiently on their facilities' emergency strategies. Comparing these results with those from the South Bohemian Region, it was found that the level of awareness and preparedness of social service providers for emergency situations is equally inadequate in both cases.
Complementarity principle in Physics and its role at experts preparation in the area of population protection
ČECH, František
This diploma thesis on the application of logical, empirical and statistical methods defined the role of the complementarity principle in the preparation of experts in the field of the protection of population in the framework of a quantitative research. The complementarity principle is characterized in the thesis in general (working with two expressions, both of them are necessary to explain the nature of the problem but cannot be used simultaneously, e.g. expressions "analysis" and "synthesis"). The diploma thesis then defined the physical aspect of the complementarity principle the wave-corpuscular dualism, the position and the momentum, the energy and the time. The comparison of the basics of the protection of population with the structure of the physical aspect of the complementarity principle followed. The performed comparison was adjusted to the needs and possibilities of future experts in the field of the protection of population on the basis of the theory of the curriculum process. The steps are clear from the set of objectives which were fulfilled gradually in the thesis: 1) To systematically describe the general form of the complementarity principle and its physical application from the point of view of the theory of the curriculum process. 2) To create a structure of the system of emergencies from the point of view of a scientific field of the protection of population and to focus on its educational aspect for the preparation of experts. 3) To perform the comparison of the physical aspect and emergencies with the general form of the complementarity principle. To transfer the findings, a theory of curriculum process was used. The link between a more generally approached complementarity principle and the protection of population was explained in the framework of a conceptual curriculum. The theory connecting these two different fields is the more generally approached complementarity principle and especially Bohr's complementarity principle linking not only the wave-corpuscular dualism but also Heisenberg's uncertainty principle. The physical aspect of emergencies was adjusted to the possibilities and needs of students (the intended curriculum) and written down in an educational text which was provided to students (the project curriculum). The practicality of the educational test was verified by an educational test the results of which were statistically processed (implemented curriculum). The statistical analysis of the test results confirmed the second hypothesis of this work. "The knowledge of future experts in the field of the protection of population will have, from the point of view of the role of the complementarity principle in their preparation, a theoretical division which will be close to the normal division." By confirming this hypothesis, the correctness and applicability of the curriculum process were confirmed as it was assumed by the first hypothesis: "Using the stages of a curriculum process, an educational basis of the role of the complementarity principle can be created within a quantitative research." The contributions of this work can be summarized by following points: 1) The use of an educational text in the preparation of experts in the field of the protection of population (a practical contribution of this diploma thesis). 2) The improvement of the applicability of the theory of the curriculum process in the field of the protection of population which has not been researched so far (the improvement of the theory of the curriculum process). 3) The definition of the link of the physical aspect of the complementarity principle to the general form of this principle (the theoretical contribution of this diploma thesis).
