This thesis deals with project management and compares the programs that are designed to control the investment project. These softwares are used to plan, manage tasks, resources, and surveys the current state of the project. At work I compare the programs that are most commonly used management of these projects. To demonstrate planning, will be selected in each of the programs created by the project construction of a residential building.

The output will be subjective opinion which software is the most suitable for construction company. Afterwards, will be created demonstrative example of project for the apartment building by the winning software.

The topic of the following dissertation is a specialised support software desi for project planning. The pivot point lies in the definition of available software products for the purpose of project direction and theie comparison based on pre-set criteria. Included is the description of selected programmes - MS Project, PMportal, RSV II a Easy Project. The comparison of the aforementioned is odne with the use of concise table. The practical application of the project planning is demonstrated via the Jihlava manufactory hall construction project with the use of MS Project software.
