Nové trendy environmentálnej výchovy

The bachelor thesis focuses on environmental education of students. The literary review serves to clarify the basic terms of the environment, sustainable development and environmental education. The goal of the thesis was to determine the level of environmental education in high schools as well as knowledge of basic concepts concerning the environment and sustainable development of high school students and also the general public. In order to achieve the goal of this thesis, a questionnaire was created aimed at high school students from a selected region and another questionnaire aimed at the general public. After completion of the research, both kinds of questionnaires were evaluated. Based on the results, it is possible to assess the level of environmental education in high schools and the level of knowledge on the topics of the environment and sustainable development among students and inhabitants of the Slovak Republic. As part of the work an Erasmus + project was created, specifically a Youth Exchange, which aims to ensure a high level of knowledge of the above-mentioned terms.

The diploma thesis is focused on environmental tools related with rural development. This concept is realized in the conditions of a self-government entity - Žlutava municipality and a private company - Kamenolom Žlutava s. r. o. in Zlin region. The proposition of this thesis is divided into theoretical framework of environmental tools and subsequent evaluation of used tools, innovative designing of environmental resources. SWOT analysis was used as an analytic method and after that specific environmental tools were assembled and implemented according to the results. Diversification of these environmental tools was created separately for each subject but also for both subjects altogether. Concrete results represented realistic proposal of these environmental tools: register of legal requirements, research of subsidies, environmental education, green public procurements. The outputs and outcomes of the diploma thesis will be used by the mayor of the Žlutava municipality and the managing director of the Kamenolom Žlutava s. r. o.
The European beaver (Castor fiber) in the Czech landscape - educational project

This bachelor thesis is focused on the formation of an educational program with the topic "The European beaver and his influence on the environment". The work summarizes current knowledge of history, general biology and ecology of this species, as well as information on the impact of beaver on the environment. Further, the educational program with this theme is proposed, in the modifications for the primary, secondary, high schools and university students. Participants of the program will learn about the beaver and its environment. They will learn about his history and about his return to our country. The most important of the educational program is the importance of the European beaver in our landscape and how it affects the surroundings. The tutorial also deals with the relationship between the European beaver and humans. The program was tested in the near the Soumarský most with students of the Ecological and Food High School in Veselí nad Lužnicí.
How to motivate primary school children to think and act in an environmental way

The contents of the Thesis feature a survey of contemporary international attitude to environmental development and its effect on the educational trends in the Czech republic. Also, the short-term eco-educational project intended for primary school children is included here in the Thesis. The aim of the project is to arouse environmental awareness of children and excite their interest in this matter, which is considered to be the first essential step towards the sustainable development.
