WiFi Attacks Using ESP32/8266
Stehlík, Richard ; Zobal, Lukáš (referee) ; Pluskal, Jan (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is an exploration of the possibilities of Espressif's ESP32 chips in combination with Espressif IoT Development Framework with intention of implementing well-known Wi-Fi attacks on this platform. In this work, multiple implementation proposals were done for deauthentication attack in two variants followed by WPA/WPA2 handshake capture, attack on PMKID, creation of rogue MitM access point, or brute-force attack on WPS PIN, and more. A universal penetration tool ESP32 Wi-Fi Penetration Tool was proposed and implemented, including deauthentication attacks with WPA/WPA2 handshake capture. This tool provides an easy way to configure and run malicious Wi-Fi attacks without any domain knowledge required from the user. The outcome of this work opens new attack vectors for the attacker, thanks to cheap, ultra-low powered, and lightweight ESP32 chips.
Automated control of aquarium operation
Kejzlar, Radim ; Šteffan, Pavel (referee) ; Háze, Jiří (advisor)
This master´s thesis describes complete design and implementation of an automated system for the control of a common freshwater tropical aquarium with a keyboard and display. The thesis discusses the applicability of equipment in today's aquaristics of freshwater tropical aquariums with respect to the history and market offer. Thesis describes the complete design of the electrical, program and mechanical parts of the resulting system and electrically controllable automatic feeder, communicating with the system.
System with Model Servos
Švec, Radek ; Materna, Zdeněk (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to study the ways of controlling hobby servos, and then to design and create small machine with hobby servos. The created machine is a six-legged walking robot - hexapod with 18 servos for movement. This robot can be remotely controlled using a mobile application for Android. Main control unit of the robot is ESP32 development board. The resulting hexapod is able to walk in all directions and rotate on spot with different walking gaits. It can also change its ground clearance and walking speed. The result of this thesis is a compact walking robot with basic functions, which is suitable for extensions, eg. adding a camera or measuring sensors.
A Gateway for Xiaomi Aqara Devices
Urbánek, Petr ; Koutenský, Michal (referee) ; Pluskal, Jan (advisor)
This paper deals with creating gateway for smart devices of brand Aqara.    There is discussed ecosystem of Aqara devices, which are used for testing and reverse-engineering of communication.    The Gateway is implemented on platform ESP32, which is using cc2530 system-on-chip.   Newly made gateway makes a bridge between ZigBee and MQTT protocol, which provides connectivity betweeen sensors and actors from Aqara and Home Assistant. Thanks to the Home Assistant are all data about home safe and creating new home automatizations is a lot easier.
Intelligent System for Detection of Undesirable Gases and Smoke in the Interior
Kurák, Ondrej ; Orság, Filip (referee) ; Goldmann, Tomáš (advisor)
The object of this work is to create a device capable of detecting smoke and hazardous gases produced by a fire. To solve the problem is designed the device that can detect these dangerous substances before an injury or property damage. The provided solution provides smoke detection, measuring the concentration of various gases and sending these values over a wireless connection in real time.
System for Recording and Reporting Fault States of Cooling Devices
Jašek, Filip ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design and creation of a system for recording and reporting error states of cooling devices on the principle of a compressor heat pump. An important element of the concept of the entire monitoring system is a built-in platform based on the ESP32 microcontroller for evaluating data measured by sensors. Another key element is the communication module, which sends measured data via GPRS in the form of MQTT messages to the service web application. The application receives, evaluates and records measured data. Subsequently are measured data and evaluated error states presented to the user in the form of tables and interactive graphs.
Smart Home Security System
Dragúň, Peter ; Bidlo, Michal (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with the security of flats and houses using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology. The aim of the thesis is to develop an electronic security system for access and intrusion control exploiting the possibilities of Bluetooth Low Energy technology for improved user experience. The thesis describes security systems, BLE technology and ESP32 microcontroller. The creation of a mobile application that is used to set up the system and its management is included, as well. The thesis also describes the design, construction of a prototype and its implementation. The last part is the verification of functionality, testing and suggestions of possibilities for further improvement of the created prototype.
Digital factory in the company Ravensburger Kraton s.r.o.
Kusý, Jan ; Kaczmarczyk, Václav (referee) ; Benešl, Tomáš (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis discusses the analysis of the term digital factory and the related initiative Industry 4.0. The work is processed in cooperation with the company Ravensburger Karton s.r.o. based in Polička and part of the work is devoted to its description. Furthermore, an analysis of the current production monitoring system, which is based on the WorkMonitor monitoring device from company Papouch, is processed. The main goal of this work is to design and manufacture monitoring devices communicating both on the WiFi interface and using an Ethernet cable. The individual ideas of design and production of both devices are described. Finally, an analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the solution is performed, including a price comparison with the devices listed in the Market Research chapter.
Coordination of MicroPython-Based IoT by Means of Node-RED
Kolář, Josef ; Peringer, Petr (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
The target of this thesis is to create means for using the Node-RED tool to coordinate physical nodes in the form of ESP32 chips in the Internet of Things. This is fulfilled by created Node-RED extension, the proposed MQTT channel protocol and custom firmware for these nodes. All of this suport deploy of diverse applications to nodes simultaneously side by side. The designed and implemented MicroPython firmware is capable of asynchronous operation of individual applications which provides an interface to communicate with the Node-RED. The functionality of this system has been successfully validated on the basis of two practical usage scenarios that demonstrate the possibility of direct use deployment system into practice in automation - even with the included firmware installer.
Smart power socket for charging electrical appliances in public areas
Chalupa, Tomáš ; Marada, Tomáš (referee) ; Zuth, Daniel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is primarily focused on design and construction of a prototype smart power socket that will be used to charge electrical appliances in public areas. It provides user authentication based on an attached RFID element and monitoring of the charging progress. For this, it uses communication with an external cloud database. The actual construction of the prototype has been divided into three main parts in this thesis, control, electrical and mechanical. The introduction is also complemented by a research section dealing with microcontrollers, cloud systems and RFID technology.
