The master's thesis deals with possible adjustments in the company's inventory replenishment strategy, which are in accordance with the analyzed factors of the external and internal environment of the company and which respond to the problems arising in the input logistics processes in which this strategy is implemented. The proposed strategy adjustments bring a new perspective on inventory management through inventory optimization and categorization according to differentiated inventory management approach, even in relation to inventories that are subject to deterioration.

This bachelor thesis focuses on activities of the supply department in a manufacturing company. Basic terms referring mainly to supplies are characterized in theoretical part. In analytical part is described the analysis of the process of buying the material and rating of levels of inventory management through selected indicators. The last part is about the differentiation of materials based on the ABC / XYZ method and the calculation of optimal values of material supply according to the economic order quantity model.

This bachelor thesis deals with issues of inventory management at the family brewery calls Hodoníský vojáček. First part of this theses focuses on theoretical basis. It deals with the general theory of stocks and analysis of the whole process of inventory management with emphasis on the individual management systems and models. The second part deals with characteristics of a company and the current stocks. Using analysis of ABC, stock items are divided into three groups according to their importance. The model EOQ is applied to items A and it detects values of optimal quantities. Finally, the current and optimal values are compared, and the recommendations for effective inventory management of these items are suggested in the conclusion.

Inventory management in a selected company

The first chapter deals with the characteristics and classification of inventories in accounting. It is an clarification of the meaning of inventories, what they are, what function they perform and their classification. The valuation and accounting of inventories are described below. The last chapter of the theoretical part further describes inventory management. The aim is to minimize the costs of acquisition and storage. In the practical part, there is basic information and data about the selected company. All data is provided by the company managing director. The accounting of the company, the valuation of inventories and the financial analysis of the company are described. The ABC method is applied in practical part, where the purchased inventories are divided into individual groups. Then the EOQ model is used on the specific items in group A. The optimal delivery size, delivery cycle and the optimal number of deliveries per year are calculated afterward. The end of the bachelor thesis describes a summary of the inventory management system evaluation. Proposals for changes are based on calculations from the practical part.

The theoretical part describes stocks management, their functions, allocations, models, systems and the costs associated with managing and maintaining that inventory. The practical part describes company and its current system of inventory management. Using the ABC analysis were selected inventory divided into three groups and subsequently was calculated the optimum values by the model EOQ. Based on a comparison of actual and calculated values, measures to improve inventory management have been proposed.

Inventory management is important company´s activity, which influences several functions of company. The set inventory level has significant economic impact on the company. This thesis is focused on formation of suggestions, which help to improve the quality of current situation of inventory management in pro-duction company ROSS s. r. o. The thesis represents basic information about re-searched area, describes methods and models, which are connected with effective inventory management of company. It also includes the characteristics of compa-ny, developed analysis of current state of inventory management and comparison of real level of individual quantity with optimal level in stock items, which mostly take part in total one-year consumption. Conclusion of the thesis includes recom-mendation how to improve processes, which doesn´t work absolutely optimal.

Očenášková, P. Resource Management in a Selected Company. Bachelor’s thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2019. The bachelor thesis is focused on resource management in the company Notino, s.r.o. It is dividend into two parts, the first of which deals with literary research. This part of the thesis pays attention to planning, existence, classification and control of resources, as well as costs, systems and models that ensure proper resource management. The second part of the work deals directly with the company. At the beginning of this chapter, the current state of resource management in the company is analysed. For data protection reasons, it was not possible to create an ABC analysis. Only an illustrative example was created. Then the EOQ model was applied to determine optimal indicators for the best-selling item in terms of number of pieces. These indicators include optimal supply of resources, total costs and supply cycle rate. At the end of the thesis, the current situation of the company is compared with the calculated optimal situation.

The partial goals will be to analyse current processes in the field of inventory management in the company. The theoretical part contains definitions of terms such as logistics, stocks, their classification and inventory management. It clarifies the importance of financial analysis, ABC analysis and EOQ optimization model. The practical part introduces the company and its current inventory management. In agreement with the company, five items are selected for which the EOQ model is applied. Based on this model, the optimum delivery size, optimum delivery cycle length and optimum number of deliveries per year are determined. The results of these values are then compared with reality. The discussion includes an evaluation of the current and optimal state and proposes appropriate measures.

The selection of this bachelor thesis is management of supplies in selected company. Main idea of work is to evaluate actual condition of management supplies and suggest strategy for optimalization according to selected analy-sis and calculation of optimal values. Stocks are part of current assets and their management is one of most important question in manufacturing. In first part of theory are focused main ideas about logistics, stock, norms and categories of stocks, warehousing costs and purchase costs. Next part of theo-ry describes ABC analysis and EOQ model. These methods are applied for actual condition of management supplies in selected company. According to calculation of optimal values is suggested strategy for optimalization of actu-al condition of management supplies.
