Votavová, Šárka ; Pokorná, Magdaléna (advisor) ; Hlavačka, Milan (referee)
The abstract The present work deals with the circumstances and the course of racing in Bohemia since the 70 the 19th the 20th century the 20 century. The work is divided into three parts, the first of which deals with the emergence of the Pardubice racecourse, the second is devoted to the racetrack in the United Chuchle and the last focuses on Napajedla Stud. Each chapter is written the history of the body and the subsequent derivation of the social context as was the fashion, the status of women in racing, the creation of new jobs or the formation of a new type of man. The main goal of the work is to uncover racing sport as a social phenomenon but also a conglomerate of institutions that cannot be separated. Without Stud in Napajedla would hardly ensure a supply of quality horses and without the Great Pardubice and its traditions through the nobility would be difficult to create a racecourse in Great Chuchle. The work is not focused on one-sided description of the races, but understanding the issue overall. Many works dealing with the environment ignores the coherence races, and social aspects of this sport. In the examples of fashion, organizing auctions or race meeting as shown on the one hand were the elite races and issues on the other hand, created new space for entertainment and for entrepreneurs.
