Application of combined preparations containing analogue GnRH and dopaminergic inhibitor for hormonally induced artificial propagation of carp (.I.Cyprinus carpio./I.) and grass carp (.I.Ctenopharyngodon idella./I.) females

Females of Common carp and Grass carp were injected with Ovopel or Dagin in recommended doses. In comparison with a control group, where only dehydrated carp pituitary (41% of succesfully stripped females), the stripping was much higher both with Dagin and Ovopel, in Common and Grass carps.

Common carp, grass carp, silver carp, bighead carp, African catfish, tench and European catfish are artificially stripped using hormonally induced ovulation and spermiation by GtH present in carp pituitary. Experiments proved the possibility of using GnRH analogs for induction of ovulationin other kinds (sterlet, ide, perch, pike etc.) and, in combination with dopaminergic inhibitors, also in common carp and some other kinds.
