At the beginning of this work are depicted the events connected with the foundation of the Czech Sport Press Association against background of formation common press association in our country. Then the main part of the work is focused on characterization of activities of the Czech Sport Press Association, which were closely connected with a similar association in Slovakia. Lastly, in the third part there are characterized changes of the Czech Sport Press Association after 1989 and described its current activities and structure. The work is particularly based on analysis of archival sources from a collection of the Czech Sport Press Association and testimonies of a few auricular witnesses of changes of the association. The ambition of this work is to present this organization to the people, who are interested in the press syndicates, and especially to the current members of the Sport Press Association, who do not know much about its history.
