The relationship between the USA and Mexico and the way how Carlos Fuentes and Zoraida Vázquez see it

The purpose of this study is to compare the relations between the United States of America and the United States of Mexico. Although the accessible sources can provide various conclusions; this study approaches to the comparison of the different points of view on the historical events which influenced the relations between these two countries. Firstly, the study shows the history of the North American continent including the creation of those large countries and their relations, emphasizing the period of Mexico-American War (1846-1848). In the second part, the study focuses on the life and work of Carlos Fuentes and Josefina Zoraida Vazquez. Their essays are crucial for understanding the sophisticated Mexico-United States relations. The final part summarizes the different approaches between Fuentes and Vazques and their different attitudes. Nonetheless, the conclusion goes further more beyond these two authors.
