Current transducer's characteristics
Čížek, Ondřej ; Bulín, Tomáš (referee) ; Huzlík, Rostislav (advisor)
In this bachelor thesis are described all used current transducers, the way of their function and at each of them are described their properties. After that is described program LabVIEW and measurement, which happened by using it with specialization on frequency characteristics and their evaluation.
Switching supply source 5,5kV/4,3kW with silicon-carbide semiconductors
Gabriel, Petr ; Patočka, Miroslav (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis is about to introduce the development of switched power supply with output voltage of 5,5 kV and power of 4,3 kW. This thesis directly follows the outputs of two previous semester projects. Main task is about to finish the development of remaining printed circuit boards and perform launching of all parts of developed power supply. Next necessary task is about to assemble a functional prototype of the supply using the developed parts, performing a series of measurement supply’s parameters and creating of technical documentation of mechanical part. There are all stages of supply’s development included in this thesis. From the first part, that describes various types of converters, through the design of all the supply’s parts, to final implementation of functional prototype. There are the results of measurement supply’s parameters at the end of this thesis.
High resolution ammeter
Honek, Marek ; Roubal, Zdeněk (referee) ; Steinbauer, Miloslav (advisor)
A transmission electron microscope is a device operating on a similar principle as an optical microscope. The fact that electrons wavelength is much shorter than the wavelength of photons is used to obtain huge magnifications. Glass lenses commonly used in the optical microscope are therefore replaced by magnetic coils in the electron microscopes. A magnetic field is directly proportional to the current passing through these coils. It is important to the current supplied to the coils to be as stable as possible to achieve high resolution. The goal of this thesis is to analyze usable current measurement methods and to design a current stable measuring device with a resolution of 1 ppm.
Universal controller for car or motorcycle dynamo
Picmaus, Jan ; Knobloch, Jan (referee) ; Červinka, Dalibor (advisor)
The thesis deals with the issue of design of an electronic controller of charging for historical cars using a dynamo. It contains theoretical analysis of the machine itself (dynamo) and analysis of a shunt wound dynamo and a seperately excited dynamo. It~is also focused on possible usage of a dynamo in various vehicles. The work compares industrially produced controllers with amateur manufacture as well as confronts their positives and negatives. All requests for the implemented controller are deduced from the analysis of the industrial and amateur controllers. The thesis consists of process plan of controller connection including the final working version and also the project and realization of a PCB as well as following description of putting the controller into practice and installation in the car. The thesis includes the project of current and voltage controllers, following adjustment and operation tests with use of the real device.
Design of a current data logger for LPWA sensors
Mikulášek, Michal ; Možný, Radek (referee) ; Štůsek, Martin (advisor)
This Master thesis deals with the design and construction of a measuring device for measuring and the current consumption logging of sensors using LPWAN (Low Power Wide Area Network) technology. The theoretical part of the thesis firstly summarizes selected LPWAN technologies. Selected technologies, namely: LoRaWAN, Sigfox and Narrowband IoT (NB-IoT), are described more in detail. Further, the current measurement techniques are briefly discussed. The main focus is given to the current shunt measuring methods. The second half of thesis describes procedures conducted during the design and construction of a measuring device. The current measuring is based on the current shunt circuit complemented by the voltage amplification circuit, whose output is subsquently converted into digital form using an AD converter. The thesis describes in great detail the procedures for selecting individual components and important processes used in design of printed circuit boards. An integral part of the measuring device implementation is the design and implementation of control software, which is described in detail and supplemented by workflow charts underlining the entire description. The implementation of the entire measuring device is completed by the design and implementation of the cover box using 3D printing technology. Finally, the specifications of designed device are briefly discussed based on the limits of the used components.
Measurement of the magnetic properties of materials using LabVIEW
Šolc, Martin ; Bulín, Tomáš (referee) ; Huzlík, Rostislav (advisor)
In this thesis LabVIEW program and its development environment is described. After that the most used current transducers, their working principles and their properties are analyzed. Next part is dedicated to curves of magnetic hysteresis of ferromagnetic materials. Practical part of bachelor´s thesis is dedicated to measuring BH curves of torroidal core transformer. The measuring was made possible by LabVIEW program, using digital integration in LabVIEW, analog integration with RC cell, voltage converter and current transducer ITN 12-P Ultrastab. In the last part of the bachelor´s thesis I evaluate the measurements.
Inverters for lighting units with LEDs
Zuber, Zalán ; Feiler, Zdeněk (referee) ; Klíma, Bohumil (advisor)
The master‘s thesis deals with DC/DC converters for power LED diodes. Gives an overview of the field of LED lighting technology, analyzes various types of converters and shows their principle of operation. Furthermore presents some possible circuit designs for three different voltage levels and the calculations for each part. As an approval of their functionality the results of their measurements are plotted followed by the data evaluation.
Design of autonomous monitoring system elektronics
Heger, Krištof ; Houška, Pavel (referee) ; Hadaš, Zdeněk (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the design of autonomous monitoring system electronics which will be used for diagnostics of the electromagnetic vibration generator developed at Brno University of Technology. This generator should be used in a practical application where frequent mechanical shocks are present, for example in vehicle or goods transportation. For such an application, the goal of the monitoring system is to find out whether generator is capable of producing enough electrical energy for smooth operation of wireless sensors used in similar applications. The first part of the thesis consists of the autonomous diagnostics system overview from both commercial and scientific spheres, brief description of the vibration generator used and also a summary of commercially available power management electronics. The next chapters present the detailed description of each functional element of energy harvesting system, the simulation of generator’s behaviour for optimal load in three different model applications and the most important part – design of the autonomous monitoring system. In the end, achieved results are evaluated and it is considered whether the shock-driven generator is suitable for use in a given application.
