Moutvic, Jiří ; Sánchez Fernández, Juan Antonio (advisor) ; Housková, Anna (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the themes of justice, injustice and social issues in the novel trilogy The struggle for Life (La lucha por la vida) by the Spanish author Pía Baroja, one of the main personalities of the literary movement Generation 98. The subject of the thesis will be a presentation of the author and a more detailed analysis of his literary and personal relationship with Madrid and the entire Spanish society. For the study of Baroj's conception of these questions, we chose the Struggle for Life trilogy, which conveys concrete examples of social issues, including whether there is justice in them or not.
