Determining of the basic skills of preschool children in the town Trhove Sviny
 ŠTANTÝSKÁ, Hana
The aim of this work is to find out the level of basic skills and physical abilities of preschool children in a town with 4167 inhabitants. The research took place on 1st to 30th June 2011 in Trhové Sviny, kindergarten Čtyřlístek (´Quatrefoil´). 51 children (4,5,6) participated in total. The anthropometric data of their height and weight were measured. Then the values of BMI were evaluated. We measured by motor tests in specific disciplines: long jump from a place, running at 20 meters, throwing a tennis ball with right and left hands. The results were compared by an age and sex of children. Then they were leveled by the project ´Growth and motor efficiency of preschool children´, published in 2010.
