Skills development for children of preschool age with Autistic Spectrum Disorder

Autistic spectrum disorder, which is characterized by deficit of skills, mainly in the field of communication, social interaction and imagination, represents a very actual topic due to the increasing number of diagnosed children. The bachelor thesis summarizes options for development of skills of preschool children with autistic spectrum disorder in communication, social interaction, psychomotorics and self-service in. We defined autistic spectrum disorder with particular deficits with focus on the principles and methods of skills development which were applied using by different intervention programs. Briefly, we have described basic characteristic and methodics of Aut-centre program, which provide the intervention for children with autistic spectrum disorder. The aim of the bachelor thesis was to map how the preschool autistic children's mothers perceive the impact of Aut-centre program on the development of particular skills. We used a qualitative analysis of semi-structured interview and internal documents of Aut-centre program for the purpose of the research.
