The effectiveness evaluation of chosen investment

This bachelor work deals with area of investment decision making, which is fundamental for all companies. The aim of work was to evaluate the profitability and potential risks of brewery Alfa. In order to avaluate the company economy I created financial plan based on original company premises and requirements. The results showed the unreality of the original plan. That´s why I created alternative financial plan where the area of incomes, net working capital and the area of personnel costs were modified.This plan was evaluated through the use of chosen financial analysis ratios. In the end I evaluated effectivity of whole investment and its riskiness by means of sensitivity analysis and break even analysis.

RISK IN INVESTMENT DECISIONS

The topic of this thesis is the evaluation of risk in enterprise. First section summarizes common knowledge related to investment process and states methods used for analysis of risk and investments efficiency. Second part evaluates economic efficiency and risk of a future investments in the particular enterprise. Projects are critical to the realization of performing organization's strategies. Each project contains some degree of risk and it is required to be aware of these risks and to develop the necessary responses to get the desired level of project success. Because projects' risks are multidimensional, they must be evaluated by using risk evaluation methods. The aim of this part is to provide an analytic tool to evaluate the project risks. At first the thesis analysis net present value and other investment criteria of the construction project without risk factors. Subsequently the projects' risks are are evaluated by using risk premium. To study of how projected performance varies along with changes in the key assumptions on which the projections are based is used the sensitivity analysis. The main sources for data was the enterprise environment.

Analýza investiční činnosti vybraného podniku

An idea of this diploma work is to describe a process of investment decision and capital budgeting in theoretical and practical way. A calculation of capital expenditures and mainly a prediction of financial incomes is considered as the most important phase of whole process. The calculated figures of capital expenditures and financial revenue serve for evaluation of certain investment. There is a lot of methods for evaluation of investments. They differentiate from each other by taking various factors like effects of investment into consideration. Few of them also calculate time, few of them not. Net present value, internal rate of return and payback period belong among the most used methods. The choice of way of investment financing is the next very important step. There is a lot of possibilities of investment financing. It usually depends on position and financial background of a company. It is necessary to decide, which financial source is the best and optimal for certain company. Recently, it is possible to use a support from funds of Europe Union. It is very administravely difficult to gain this grant, but it´s very lucrative source for companies because it can cover majority of initial investment and moreover it´s non-reversible. Valuation of effectiveness of constrution of photovoltaic power plant

The main objective of this thesis is to provide management of specific company with valid information concerning intended investment in construction of a small photovoltaic power plant. Valuation of the investment is done using methods: payback period, discounted payback period, net present value, internal rate of return and profitability index. There is a comlete sensitivity analysis included in the thesis. Besides the valuation itself, the thesis provide also relevant information about the company, legal environment, czech and european renewable energy market and current state of the project.

Economic efficiency of the realisation of a shopping center construction project

The aim of this final thesis is to evaluate the economic efficiency of the realisation of a shopping center project. We can devide this work into two parts. The first one is concerning the theoretical explanation of an investment project, its financial aspects and the criteria for evaluating its economic efficiency. The second part focuses on the evaluation of the Tilla shopping center project according to the previous theoretical description. This evaluation is made by the net present value, the index of rentanility and the internal rate of return. In addition to the previous criteria there are the financial stability and the economic value added calculated to obtain a global view of this investment project.

The aim of the diploma paper is valuation of economic effectiveness of the investment project in the sphere of optical production. The theoretical part introduces into the problems of investments and supplies a brief overview of standard evaluating methods. The practical part contains the description of the planned investment project, estimation of cash flow and determination of discount rate. After that, there is an application of the methods of effectiveness evaluation and sensitivity analysis for input parameters.

The main purpose of presented diploma work is complex assessment of financial position of company Stavby silnic a železnic a. s. in 2003 - 2007, recognition of causes and proposal of possible steps leading to improvement. Partial aim of my work is comparison of bonding and bankrupting models applied to the mentioned company and mutual confrontation of these two models. Further aim is calculation of economic added value and subsequent analysis of input variable parameters sensitivity in relation to economic value added. Third partial purpose concerns the intercompany comparison and confrontation of this company with relevant branch.

The biggest producer of potato starch in Czech republic is thinking about using the factory for producing pea starch. There are two reasons, at first quotas for producing potato starch, European Union determines these quotas. Secondly, it's very difficult (financially as well as agronomically) to plant potatoes. The capacity of the factory will be fulfilled and the dependence on one raw material will be reduced, these are the advantages of producing new kind of starch. The aim of this thesis, it's to make the business plan and to consider the reality of this plan.

Cílem práce je hodnocení ekonomické efektivnosti projektu výroby Corey Alkoholu ve firmě Cayman Pharma. Práce si klade za cíl vybrat ze tří resp. čtyř dostupných metod výroby Corey Alkoholu metodu takovou, která zajistí výrobu požadovaného množství Corey Alkoholu při minimální současné hodnotě nákladů a při rozumné míře rizika s ní spojeného. Cílem práce je tedy zvolení a doporučení jedné metody (jedné varianty projektu) k realizaci.

Practical application of the use of a business plan during the process of setting up a business in the market environment of Prague

Cílem této práce je sestavení konkrétně zaměřeného dokumentu, reálně využitelného při procesu zakládání menšího moderního fitness klubu v Praze, jenž se může po určité akomodaci stát i předlohou ke zpracování podnikatelského plánu jiné začínající malé či střední společnosti v tržním prostředí metropole. Jeho praktické zaměření se odráží v obou rovinách práce, to jest jak v části zaměřené na výklad a popis metodiky, tak i v následující části aplikační. V obou částech se věnuje konkrétnímu popisu praktických aspektů, které vyplývají ze specifik zakládaného podniku a prostředí, v němž vzniká, a to od počátečních fází zahrnujících shánění vhodných prostor k provozování podnikání, zařizování provozovny a jednání s dodavateli, přes analýzu okolí, plánování marketingové strategie a rozjezd provozu až po finanční výhled hospodaření na několik nejbližších účetních období. Náplní praktické části této práce je úplná forma podnikatelského plánu určeného pro zakladatele nově vznikající společnosti, jimž poslouží jako prakticky cílené vodítko při strategickém řízení firmy a usnadní koordinaci aktivit na cestě k zahájení provozu fitness klubu Solar na území hlavního města. Interní účel využití tohoto dokumentu předpokládá podrobnou analýzu podmínek a prostředí, jež budou mít na činnost společnosti vliv a především stanovení cílů a verifikaci jejich dosažitelnosti.
