Great Britain and the Concept of the Balance of Power at the Congress of Vienna

(in English): The bachelor thesis analyses the approach of Great Britain towards the balance of power concept and its subsequent application at the Congress of Vienna, 1814-1815. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to assess how this approach influenced the goals which Great Britain aimed to achieve and how it influenced its choice of allies. However it deals with the broader impact on the conduct of the Congress and its approach to selected questions too. The thesis is based mainly on editions of issued correspondence and analysis of modern historical monographs and articles primarily of anglosaxon provenience. The methods of international realtions and political history analyses are applied.
