Stress analysis of eye bolts
Kareš, Pavel ; Kubík, Petr (referee) ; Vaverka, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis focuses on the calculation of stress arising from the loading of an open or closed eye bolts. The first part of the thesis provides an overview of eye bolts, their uses, and their differences. It also describes the theoretical background necessary for correctly solving the tasks in the second part of the thesis. The second part presents a total of four examples of stress calculations. The first two examples are solved for an open eye bolts, and the last two for a closed eye bolt. For each type of eye, two examples are solved: one task for axial loading and one task for loading perpendicular to the bolt's axis. Each task includes an analysis of the example and determination of the internal stress resultants (ISR). From the knowledge of the ISR, the critical point is found, and the maximum stress is determined, first using the theory of straight beams and then the theory of curved beams. Additionally, the safety factor is calculated using each maximum stress. At the end of each example, an analysis is also performed using the numerical method in the ANSYS Workbench software. Finally, a comparison is made between the results from the analytical calculation and those from the ANSYS software.
Stress-strain analysis of the solids with highly curved centerline
Peter, Ondřej ; Man, Vojtěch (referee) ; Novák, Kamil (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with stress-strain analysis of the solid with highly curved centerline. The thesis is divided into three main parts: background research, computation modelling and performing of the experiment. All analytical equations and practical examples were summarized in the first part of this thesis. In second part, computation model is solved by using analytical and numerical approach. Next, the analytical and numerical approaches are compared to each other. Third part deals with experiment.
