The subject of my thesis is an analysis of the selected enterprise. Subsequently, ways of improving its situation will be proposed. In my work, I will gradually address all aspects of the company analysis. Working on my thesis, I will use theoretical knowledge gained while studying at the Faculty of Business at VUT in Brno, as well as practical experience that I have accrued working for the company.

This master’s thesis is focused on problems within the financial situation in one specific company. At the beginning the chosen methods of evaluation of company financial performance are introduced. Afterwards the thesis performs the practical evaluation of specific company financial performance based on the information taken from financial statements and other non public reports. The target of this master’s thesis is to perform the financial analysis of specific company and proposal of its improvement. This target is reached in final part of the master’s thesis.

Analysis of bad debts in the reporting entity

This bachelor thesis is dedicated to the analysis of the bad debt in the selected company. The main aim of the work is to evaluate the receivables management and to propose options for improving the established system. The aims of the bachelor thesis were achieved through the vertical and horizontal analysis of receivables and the ratio analysis. The theoretical part describes the general findings regarding receivables especially bad dept. The practical part focuses on the analysis of the receivables during the years 2010 2014. It also includes description of the methods of debt collection. After a complete analysis can be stated that the company has an overview of overdue debts, records all borrowers and applies available hedging instruments. In the context of the work results has been proposed to determine the employee responsible for receivables management.

Management of trade receivables

The thesis is focused on the management of trade receivables. The first part of the thesis deals with the definition of trade receivables and describes their importance to the company. In the following section it is mentioned the significance of internal directive, related evidence and valuation of trade receivables with an emphasis on accounting and tax issues from the perspective of the Czech legislation. The next chapter is devoted to the entire process of management of trade receivables. There are described particular sections of the process from securing receivables to debts collection. In the fourth part there are solved overdue receivables and their accounting and tax solutions. In the conclusion I analyze management of trade receivables in a particular company.

Accounts Receivable Management

The aim of the thesis is to focus on accounts receivable management. Theoretical knowledge involving definition of receivables, their creation, life cycle, management, securing up to cash collecting are applied to the selected company in the context of the economic and political situation and the position on the Czech market. The aim is to analyze the accounts receivable management on real examples and assessment of used methodology. The output is a critical evaluation of the functioning of the system set in the selected company, including finding gaps and proposing specific measures how to eliminate them in order to improve the functioning of the process.

Receivables Management of VELKOOBCHOD HEVA, Ltd

This thesis deals with the issue of claims management of wholesale company VELKOOBCHOD HEVA. The theoretical part elaborates on the legal, accounting, taxation and financial aspects of the claims. Loan policies and their particular measures, as well as hedging instruments and methods of claims enforcement have also been described. In the practical part, particular methods of claims management and enforcement employed by VELKOOBCHOD HEVA have been introduced. The actual claims structure of VELKOOBCHOD HEVA will be analysed in the final part of the thesis.

Financial and tax aspects of receivables

The thesis is dedicated to the issue of receivables. The thesis explains the reasons of creation of receivables and legal context. The accounting part of the thesis deals with accounting practices along with their demonstration on concrete examples. Tax section examines the receivables in terms of income tax and value added tax. The practical part analyzes overdue receivables of eight companies.

The bachelor thesis is focused on the debt management in selected business entity. The first part of the work, a literature review, describes the theoretical background such as the creation of claims and their security and recovery. In the second part, practical one, it is analyzed management process of company GDP KORAL, s. r. o. On the basis of the analysis , there are suggested the measumenetns how to improve the current situation in selected business unit.

Proces řízení pracovního kapitálu a jeho optimalizace ve výrobním podniku

The thesis is focused on the management of working capital and subsequently on its optimization in the Ekotrend Ludky Company Ltd. On the basis of available financial statements the work deals with the individual areas of management, which the working capital includes. Final thesis analyses the working capital of the company through the inventory management, the debt management, the cash management and the management of short-term liabilities. In conclusion the obtained results are interpreted and the potential recommendation suggested. That recommendation will lead to the optimal management and planning of working capital in the company.
