Cultural houses in the Central Bohemian region (1945 - 1972)

The bachelor thesis deals with general development of the type of Cultural house in the period between 1945 and 1972. In total, 11 case studies of Central Bohemia realizations were presented, as well as 20 additional examples within the former Czechoslovakia, always in the range of available archive material. The case studies were accompanied by sub-chapters about the legislative definition, along with overviews of state efforts in the field of typification, short characteristics of the historical development of architecture and social situation of the given period. Within the attachment, short professional medallions of architects, painters, sculptors and designers participating in the realizations mentioned in the text are attached.
