Motor imitation as a precondition for self-care skills for children with autism spectrum disorders

The thesis deals with Autistic Spectrum Disorders in terms of their ethology and diagnostic criteria. The theoretical part further describes development of terminology of these disorders and historical concept of care of individuals with Autism. Included are also categories of disabilities and their symptoms. Another chapter discusses the specifics of self-help skills of children with Autism and characterizes motor development of preschool children with an emphasis on motor imitation, as one of the sub-kinetic abilities. The aim of the research work is to analyse the degree of influence of motor imitation on the development of self-help skills of children with Autism. It focuses on evaluation of the developmental level of the respondent's self-help skills and its development influenced by intensive imitation training. Determination of the actual developmental level allows easier orientation within self-help skills that can be practiced with the child. Their list is located in the attachments. Further research clarifies what techniques were the most successful during motor imitation training. Specific of the school education for pupils with mild mental disability in the physical education classes with the choice to implement yoga elements

The thesis focuses on the issue of education of pupils with the slight mental disabilities in physical education classes, taking into account the possibility to implement elements of yoga and relaxation and its later influence on the pupils. In the theoretical section, the goal is to analyze the groundwork of term base for the quantitative research, examine the expression of a light mental disability, and engage with the physical education and concepts of yoga and relaxation. The empirical section focuses on development of the methodical resources for the teacher and subsequent assessment in the elementary school's enviroment. Introduced bachelor thesis focuses on significant figure of special pedagogy Prof. PaedDr. František Kábel, DrSc. The thesis follows up his life as well as his influence on formation of the special pedagogy in our country. It concentrates on Kábel's progressive ideas and actions leading to growth of speech therapy and somatopedie. Nowadays many of those thoughts are still valid and relevant. This work looks also at Kábel's share on foundation of some of the institutions dedicated to care of the disabled and selection of his rich publications. The thesis has theoretical character, it was compiled mono-graphically with use of professional literature, publication and other sources.
Personality development of students by art activities at two-years practical school

This thesis tries to understand and to have a better insight into adolescence and it is interested in options of forming personality of a young person with a mental disability. Based on the qualitative research, it tries to describe the development of personality particular aspects in the group of people in a two-year practical school. Sub themes of personality development are elaborated on the basis of cross-section theme Personality and social education in art lessons, where they are using the benefit of the art work, feeling and reflection as a formative element by creating self-identity in the behavioral-educational process. Thesis describes ways, which simplify the self-knowledge, strengthen the self-concept, operate in the area of psycho-hygiene and help to reveal the hidden potentials, which specify and focus the life course of a young person with a mental disability on the edge of adulthood. Creativity of teachers in the educational process in special elementary school

The diploma thesis "Creativity of teachers in the educational process in special elementary school" focuses on teachers in special elementary schools at this moment. The thesis is divided into four parts. First three chapters sumarizes the facts about creativity gained from the special literature. The first chapter sumarizes generall knowledges about creativity. It describes the notion of creativity and compares the definitions of various authors. In the second chapter it describes creativity from the view of the special pedagogues and describes the creative methods which may be used by them during the educational process. The second chapter also describes the barriers which can appeares on the way to creativity. The third chapter focuses on the meaning of special pedagogues for the special elementary schools. It describes special elemetary schools and how can special pedagogues develop their own creativity and which creative methodes they can use during teaching. The fourth chapter focuses on the use of creative methods. The main target is the analysis of the educational programme for the special elementary schools. In detailes it describes the part Art and Culture. At the end it sumarizes the resaultes of the questionnaire survey of special pedagogues at the special schools and their knowledges...
