Automatic Kerberos Key Rotation
Progressive Meshes
Zelený, Jan ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Sumec, Stanislav (advisor)
There are many highly detailed 3D objects in computer graphics today, which expect high-tech hardware equipment for rendering, storing or transmitting. One of many possible solutions of these problems is progressive mesh. It is a kind of representation of 3D objects, which can be real-time modified in sense of level of detail (LOD). Progressive meshes can also modify effectively their surface, and create geomorphs between two different levels of detail. Progressive transmitting and compressed storing are also possible with this feature.
Development of a heterogeneous catalytic system using multiply charged cyclodextrins and proline-based organocatalysts
Zelený, Jan ; Jindřich, Jindřich (advisor) ; Baszczyňski, Ondřej (referee)
Cyclodextrins are a class of organic molecules consisting of a cyclic system of α(1→4) linked glucose units. These compounds possess a range of interesting properties and can be derivatised to suit various industrial and scientific purposes. Among their derivatives are so- called multiply charged cyclodextrins, the development and application of which is an essential part of our group's research interest. These cyclodextrin derivatives are capable of binding electrostatically to different solid sorbents, such as silicagel or alumina. This electrostatic interaction is mediated by an array of permanently positively charged moieties which are covalently attached to the primary rim of a cyclodextrin unit. The free secondary rim then offers the possibility of further derivatisation and functionalisation of this system. The resultant cyclodextrin derivative represents a modular scaffold which can be used to immobilise different functional components. This project focuses on the application of this system to the immobilisation of a Hayashi- Jørgensen-type catalyst for the purposes of heterogeneous catalysis. The work includes the assembly of the of the chosen catalytic system from its precursors and also the synthesis thereof. Furthermore, the resulting supramolecular system is tested for its catalytic...
The preparation and characterization of polymeric, enzymatically cleavable carriers for cancerostatic drugs
Zelený, Jan ; Etrych, Tomáš (advisor) ; Ječmen, Tomáš (referee)
As the development of cancerostatic drugs progresses it is becoming necessary to contemplate the question of how to deliver these drugs, which themselves tend to exhibit carcinogenic properties, effectively and accurately to the affected tissues and thus to circumvent their destructive effects upon the healthy parts of the organism. One approach to delivering drugs selectively to cancerous tissues is to make use of some of the specific properties which these tissues tend to possess, one of which being the so-called enhanced permeability and retention effect (EPR effect). This effect, which will be further discussed within this thesis, allows for macromolecules that are too massive to pass from the bloodstream into healthy tissue, to exit the blood vessels of cancerous tissue and to accumulate there. Therefore, a drug molecule can specifically enter cancerous tissue along with a suitable macromolecule, to which it is conveniently attached. If, moreover, the given drug is connected to the carrier molecule via an enzymatically cleavable spacer, it is possible to make use of lysosomal proteases (such as cathepsin B, which is overexpressed in some cancer cells) in order to attain its detachment from the carrier molecule and its subsequent activation. This bachelor thesis focuses on describing the...
The amount of physical activity within a week's routine of football players at grade level.
Zelený, Jan ; Kokštejn, Jakub (advisor) ; Frýbort, Pavel (referee)
BIBLIOGRAPHICAL IDENTIFICATION Title of Bachelor work: The amount of physical activity within a week's routine of football players at grade level Place of work: UK FTVS Author: Jan Zelený Field of study: Physical education and sport Head of work: Mgr. Jakub Kokštejn, Ph. D. Defence year: 2013 Abstract Aims: The main aim of the thesis was the analysis of the amount of one week's physical activity (PA) of boys at adolescent age within regularly exercised PA. Methods: One week's routine PA was monitored by methodology which is based on measurement of the energy output, amount of steps and hops, and load intensity by ActiGraph GT3X accelerometer. Conclusions: The research showed that average daily amount of steps within selected group of young people was 9284. Furthermore, the research showed that the average energy output was significantly lower, i.e. 30% lower than the specified health limits. At the same time, the recommended values of PA of middle and higher intensity were surpassed. At the last part of the thesis, the results were compared with the health recommendations for particular age category and the specified hypotheses were then verified. Key words: Physical activity, adolescent, accelerometer, ActiGraph, football
The Role of the Judiciary in the Integration Process of the United States of America and the European Union
Zelený, Jan ; Kindlová, Miluše (referee)
The Role of the Judiciary in the Integration Process of the United States of America and the European Union The aim of this thesis is to describe the integration process of both the European Union and the United States of America and to depict the most crucial role the judiciary had. The thesis will explain how courts can in general substitute the other branches of power, usually when the latter are inactive or even unwilling to act. Both ways how the European Court of Justice (working together with national courts) and the Supreme Court of the United States have influenced or even enabled successful union-making policy will be compared. One of the most surprising facts might be that the Supreme Court had rather an auxiliary role in turning the Union into a strong entity, while the Court of Justice most likely was a real European integration leader. The thesis presents number of specific examples or cases how both courts not only created legal rules but also came up with policy-making decisions, which has significantly changed the given community and lives of all citizens in it. It can be concluded that from nowadays perspective, both courts enjoy great power and prestige. Obviously, the SCOTUS is being regarded as the stronger one from those two. However, such a view might not be entirely accurate...

Application for Secure Mobile Communication
Jeřábek, Jakub ; Zelený, Jan (referee) ; Očenášek, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to design and implement a mobile application for instant messaging with the accent on confidentiality. The application will provide the management of contacts, the management of contact groups and sending group messages. What is more, the application should allow users to share their position via the device's GPS module. In this thesis, the client-server architecture is used. The thesis contains an analysis of existing solutions, based on which I propose a specification of the resulting application. Its implementation is also described. The result of my activity is a working application for the mobile operation system Android which complies with the assignment of the thesis.
Web page segmentation utilizing clustering techniques
