Distributed WEB framework
Bondari, Serghei ; Dokulil, Jiří (referee) ; Zavoral, Filip (advisor)
Develop a distributed component based web framework built upon the PHP5 programming language that allows independent component development, deployment and active component re-usage. A component of the work will recommend and implement a component interface definition schema and effective middleware layer that facilitates events, messaging and data exchange between various components.
Using XML technologies to apply design patterns
Hála, Vojtěch ; Zavoral, Filip (referee) ; Bednárek, David (advisor)
Although contemporary programming style involves massive use of design patterns, programming languages does not offer suitable means tu support their application. Aim of this work is to show in practice that modern XML technologies, namely XSL Transformations, allow developers to avoid some routine tasks required by the objective language itself. This reduces the probability of errors, allows developers to focus on the key parts of the design, and makes maintaining the code markedly easier. These benefits come to light especially in large projects with hundreds to thousands of classes with complicated relations. In this Thesis we demonstrate these ideas on an example of a C++ compiler project.
Garbage collection in the C++ environment
Zika, Petr ; Bednárek, David (advisor) ; Zavoral, Filip (referee)
The goal of the work is to design and implement a garbage collector in the environment of the C++ programming language defined by the international standard ISO/IEC 14882:2003. The work focuses on solving problems of implementing an incremental tracing garbage collector within the limits set by the C++ language. Delivering an implementation of the garbage collector is the main objective.
Information system for educational agencies
Marván, Tomáš ; Zavoral, Filip (referee) ; Bednárek, David (advisor)
The goal of this work is to implement an internet and intranet information system for registering lectors and students in an educational agency, together with their abilities, requirements, time possibilities etc. The system allows all the administrator, lectors and students to enter data. The entered data are liable to validation by the administrator. The system is able to partly automate administrator's tasks within pairing of lectors and students according to the entered information.
Chemical laboratory
Kreibichová, Lenka ; Kalibera, Tomáš (referee) ; Zavoral, Filip (advisor)
The subject of this work is to implement the simulation of chemistry laboratory. The result is speciffied for user, who would like to test, how it works in a chemistry laboratory without entering the real room. In the virtual laboratory you can use test tubes and řasks of various shape, insert chemical matters, warm and old them, mix the contents of the flasks and watch the reactions. The important merit is the ability to set the series of instructions, that interactive help user to go through the chemical experiment.
Integration of Heterogeneous Information Systems
Kulhánek, Jiří ; Zavoral, Filip (advisor) ; Král, Jaroslav (referee)
Information systems are becoming an inseparable part of today's world. Together with their significance arise an emergency to integrate them to enable their mutual cooperation and so extend the facility and quality of their use. Nevertheless, this integration is carrying a number of difficulties and obstacles, which are needed to be dealt with by architects of these new and often unexplored solutions. In this work the given problematic is summarized, the basic concepts of possible approaches are introduced and the concrete challenge connected to the integration are aimed together with the ways how to solve them. Thanks to this, the project Integration of Information Systems of Charles University with its architecture of Data-Pile structure and the project Unitary Network of Italian Government as an example of Cooperating Information System can be analyzed in detail. These two integrating solutions from practice are illustrative examples of actual problems in this field, which we face in this day and age.
Database manager
Dolejš, Ondřej ; Zavoral, Filip (advisor) ; Skopal, Tomáš (referee)
The presented work is about the program DBManager, which I created. This work follows the reasons and motivations which had led to creation of the program and describes analysis preceding the creation of the program. Furthermore it describes an implementation of the program and its resulting functionality. The program DBManager is a lightweight database manager with ability to connect to the Oracle database as well as to the MS SQL Server database. The program contains the SQL console with output into the table and cooperating object browser. Results can be filtered, sorted and modified, and the modified data can be easily sent back to the database. The Object browser shows us well-arranged common database objects. The most usual database objects, such as tables or views, can be created or modified by using user friendly wizard. SQL commands as well as results of the commands can be saved and loaded from a file.
Crossplatform user interface API for C/C++
Meluzín, Vojtěch ; Dokulil, Jiří (referee) ; Zavoral, Filip (advisor)
The goal of MWindows project is creation of a crossplatform graphical user interface toolkit for C++ language, hence it is designated for performance dependent applications. The toolkit has to hide target platform speci cs, provide superstandard features such as general styling on a plugin basis, automatic control placement, data sharing, language translation etc. Lowlevel characteristics have to guarantee portability even to platforms without internal window system, e.g. 3D graphical modes. Finally there is a need for general platform-independent way to build particular programs with as easy way to access application data (such as images or translation databases) as possible.
Web system for project management
Hampl, Michal ; Zavoral, Filip (referee) ; Trčka, Martin (advisor)
Aim of this work is to design and implement internet application, which offers tools for project management. Application will be intended for software development projects in particular, but regarding universal design, it will be possible to use it in other branches as well. Application will offer these features: - user accounts and roles management, including access control for individual; parts and system features; - projects structure management (phases, sub-projects); - connected with calendar, planning and deadline supervision; - support for text communication of users; - storage of documents and other files; - knowledge base. Application will be implemented using ASP.NET technology, C# language.
Project Planning and Time Tracking
Kučera, Tomáš ; Zavoral, Filip (referee) ; Zlomek, Josef (advisor)
Software development is much easier with a correct project plan. In our work we study design and implementation of the web system for creating project plans. Users of the system make records about their work and they enter development progress of the tasks in the projects. Emphasis is placed on clearly organized project tree structure with the information about project progress and current costs. The system is programmed in the PHP scripting language. Data are stored in the MySQL database.
