Vliv onemocnění paznehtů na užitkovost a složení mléka dojnic
Zajíc, Martin
The aim of the work was to obtain data on performance and milk composition from performance control and to compare these results between a group of cows with diseases of the hoofs and healthy cows. The hypothesis has been verified as to whether the performance and composition of dairy milk is influenced by the occurrence diseases of the hoofs. Surprisingly, according to the results of this work, the influence of the studied diseases on the monitored parameters is relatively small. Proportional reduction in cow milking was confirmed only in one experimental group (reduction in milking for 3.38 liters, P <0.01). The affect on the results is probably also the fact, that the latent measure was not detected in the animals, but only the presence of problem hoof. The occurrence of limping (as a sign of pain) will probably influence the decrease in milking much more than individual finger diseases that are not painful enough to cause limping. Furthermore, the statistical significance of the increase in somatic cell counts (an increase of 67,000 SB / 1ml, P <0.05) in one monitored group of diseased dairy cows was demonstrated. However, the increase in the number of somatic cells may be caused by a number of other factors. Other studied milk composition parameters (fat, protein, lactose, ketone, urea, free fatty acids) were not significantly different between groups. On the basis of the evaluation and experience from the implementation of the study, the degree of limping of the cows would be considered as a factor for continuing research in the area.
