This thesis deals with external factors influencing learning of English. The thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part gives definition of each factor which can occur during English learning. It deals with its consequences and offers ways of managing them. The practical part constists of semi-structured interviews with English teachers. Attention is focused on factors which influenced them during their English studies and on external factors which have impact on their pupils.
Eroticism of the language of the female writer Jakuba Katalpa

The following work will be focused on the interpretation of the book Je hlína k snědku? by female writer Jakuba Katalpa. We are going to find out, if we can classify this book as a result of female writing. At first we will look into the issue of female writing, its features and works written the way of female writing. Further we will try to find those features in the book of Jakuba Katalpa. The context between Georges Bataille's work Erotism and this book will bring something interesting and new, especially if we focus on his understanding of erotism and worlds of work and nature. We also will account the reviews of this book.
Death as an artifact: aesthetisation of death in works of Georges Rodenbach and Jiří Karásek ze Lvovic

The aim of the submitted thesis is a comparison of symbolism of a double in Georges Rodenbach's Bruges-la-Morte and Romány tří mágů of Jiří Karásek ze Lvovic. We will focus maily on death as a key motif of literature at the fin de siècle and a motif that is, in works we are examining, closely linked with the existence of a double. We will inspect motif of a double in the context of psychological states of mind. The choice of compared texts was motivated by the process of self disintegration. The process of self disintegration is closely connected with the process of depersonalisation which appears when a subject makes contact with a soulful space or a object. Cities (Bruges, Venice, Prague) which are the scene of this self disintegration take a special place in the literature of symbolism as a urban space of art and death at once. Despite mutual relation of life and art, the strange tension, and the phenomenon of annihilation, is still present within this relation.
The Picture of the Ghost in Meg Cabbot´s Series Mediator

This bachelor thesis analyzes the influence of the ghosts characters on Meg Cabot´s heroes; it examines the origin of this motif in the Gothic novels and and it briefly describes the world writers who include the ghost characters in their works (Reeve, Walpole, Shakespeare). The aim of the thesis is to discuss the psychological function of the ghost motif in Meg Cabot´s Mediator.
