Job Satisfaction of Teachers at Upper Primary Schools as an Presumption of their Professional Development

This thesis deals with the job satisfaction of teachers as a presumption of their professional development. The attention is focused on the issue of the job satisfaction, its specification and the most known theories of job satisfaction, also on the characteristics and the problems of teachers' profession in the Czech Republic, on the factors of the job satisfaction and the researches focused on this topic. The professional development of teachers is also discussed. The quantitative questionnaire survey is a part of this thesis and it is focused on the job satisfaction of teachers at upper primary schools in Prague and on their professional development. The aim of this survey is to identify the relationship between the job satisfaction and the professional development of interviewed teachers. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the possibilities of health preventive measures and to analyze the implementation of these measures in a hundred large organizations based in the Czech Republic through a quantitative survey. Corporate Volunteers Motivation

Diploma thesis is focused on research of employee's motivation to participate in corporate volunteering programs. Theoretical chapters summarize contemporary knowledge of corporate volunteerism phenomenon and its roots - corporate social responsibility on one side and volunteering on the other. Thesis is also dealing with specific, still not very well examined area of skills-based volunteering and with use of particular examples from Czech environment it presents its actual form. Thesis deals with various theories for volunteer motivation. Theoretical part of thesis is followed by empirical research focused on motives of corporate volunteers for participation in this type of volunteerism, their attitudes toward skills-based volunteering and also perceived differences between corporate and noncorporate (civic) volunteering. The Diabetes Adult Patient Education as a Determinant of Quality of Life

The diploma thesis is focused on the topic of adult diabetes type 1 and type 2 education related to patients' self-care management. It provides the elemental overview of the illness, its complications, treatment and wider social impact and anticipated future development; it presents the general theories, procedures and principles applied to the field of adult education and describes the specifics of diabetes patient education. As a follow-up to the theoretical part, an empirical survey is carried out to verify the connection between the education of diabetics and their metabolic compensation as a main indicator of diabetes-related quality of life. In addition, the differences in compensation between patients treated within diabetes center, regular diabetologists'offices and practising physians' offices are examined.
Integration of Adults with Multiple Sclerosis

This master thesis focuses on the integration of adults with multiple sclerosis, and offers a perspective on their quality of life. The theoretical part describes chronic diseases and their impact on the personality of the patients with multiple sclerosis, as well as patients' coping mechanisms. The main part of the thesis is dedicated to definition, progress, epidemiology, symptomatology, diagnostics and therapy of multiple sclerosis. Many patients are forced to change their lifestyle, employment and everyday activities due to multiple sclerosis. Therefore, one chapter of this master thesis is dedicated to the possibilities of their economical, social and cultural integration. In the empirical part, a scientific research was conducted using MSQOL-54 questionnaire, that determined the effect of multiple sclerosis on the patients' quality of life and their mental and physical health. The most significant negative factors impacting the quality of life were pain and fatigue, which are at the same time the most common symptoms occuring in patients with multiple sclerosis. Barriers in Education of Mothers on Parental Leave

This Bachelor's thesis focuses on barriers in further education of mothers on parental leave. It aims to find what the specifics of these barriers are, as compared to the wider adult population. Mothers on parental leave are considered a specific group in the job market as well as in the field of education; therefore they need to be given special attention. The first part of the thesis defines further professional education as a part of lifelong education and introduces the surveys representing the base for my own survey, and also introduces some of the factors that influence the perceived barriers in education of mothers on parental leave. The detection of barriers in further education of mothers on parental leave was carried out in a quantitative survey. The thesis is focused on the issues of employability of Adult education and Personnel Management students of the Faculty of Arts of Charles University on job market. It provides insight into employability of graduates in general; it pays attention to concepts related to employability; it deals with changes of university education system and different approaches to adult education and personnel management; it describes work roles of andragogy graduates and human resources officers. Empiric research which is carried out through questionnaires is dedicated to confirmation of the influence of selected factors on employabilty of Adult education and Personnel Management students. Furthemore, the thesis addresses issues such as monthly income and work positions and roles the graduates take most frequently. Educational Needs Analysis of General Nurses in Psychiatric Hospital of Bohnice

The goal of this bachelor thesis is to distinguish and to analyze the educational needs of general nurses of Psychiatric Hospital of Bohnice by testing specific method of research. This specific method is a questionnaire based on Metodika vzdělávacích plánů created by HESTIA a. s. together with PhDr. Jiří Tošner. The goal can be devided into two sub-goals. First sub-goal is to test this questionnaire for distingushing the educational needs of general nurses in Psychiatric Hospital of Bohnice, the second sub-goal is to distinguish and analyze the educational needs of general nurses of Psychiatric Hospital of Bohnice. The theoretical part of this thesis is based on remarkable work of 20th century's scholars, sociologists, physicians and researchers and its aim is to present the psychiatry within its historical and contemporary concept. The thesis will also focus on the occupation of nurse, its history and current state. Last but not least, this thesis will present the history, organizational structure and educational opportunities of Psychiatric Hospital of Bohnice. As stated above, the research was based on specifically chosen questionnaire. The research was also completed by interviewing professionals within the field. Assessment Centre Method Validation - Approaches and Options

The subject of this thesis is a validation of an assessment centre for employee selection, e.g. examining the validity of this method. Currently, the assessment centre represents an often used method of employee selection. At the same time, however, its implementation is demanding from the financial, time and personal perspective. If the assessment centre shall be considered an effective employee selection method, it is essential to pay attention to its psychometric aspects, especially the validity of its findings. First, the terms "assessment centre" and "validity" are defined and explained. Then, the thesis presents approaches and options of validation of the selection assessment centre based on scientific literature, articles and researches.
