A discourse analysis of popular preacher mufti Isma'il Menk
Vrbová, Markéta ; Ťupek, Pavel (advisor) ; Rumpl, Jakub (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the current popular Islamic thinker Mufti Menk. Mufti Menk has millions of followers across his social media accounts that he uses as the main platforms when spreading his thoughts. He is popular mainly among young Muslims, but his influence extends to a significant number of non-Muslims as well. The aim of the thesis is to analyze Menk through the evaluation of his social and political ties, his overall attitude towards politics, and the controversies that surround him. The thesis also analyzes the topics he addresses on his social media and thus outlines the main ideas he is trying to spread among his target group and what these ideas say about him. Mufti Menk is sometimes seen as a Salafi. This is probably due to his connection to the Islamic University of Madinah, ties to other Salafis, and some of his views. Drawing upon the findings of this thesis, the author will also briefly evaluate how strong Menk's connection to Salafism is.

The first part is theoretical, where I wrote about anatomy, kinematics, traumatology, medical and physiotherapy methods focused on neck of femur. The second part is decicated to the casuistry of the patient after injury of neck of femur. The fracture was treated by osteosynthesis with dynamic hip screw (DHS). Keywords: physiotherapy, case study, osteosynthesis, fracture of neck of femur, dynamic hip screw
Case study of a patient with the diagnosis of burns II.-III. grade to 40% of body
Šrámková, Šárka ; Vrbová, Martina (advisor) ; Křížek, Tomáš (referee)
Title: Case study of a patient with the diagnosis of burns II.-III. grade to 40% of body Objectives: The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to work out a detailed case study of rehabilitation care of a patient with burns and literature search of this topic. Another goal is to acquire comprehensive teoretic and practical knowledge about this diagnosis. Methods: I used assay and physiotherapeutic approaches which I learned during the bachelor studies at FTVS UK. The general part informs about anatomy and physiology of the skin, about diagnostics of degree and extent of burns, methods of treatment, physical and psychological rehabilitation. Special part includes methodology of the work, anamnesis, opening kinesiologic analysis, individual therapies, outcoming kinesiologic analysis, the effect of the therapy and end. Results: I worked out a detailed case study of a patient with this diagnosis and a literature search has been worked out. The main contribution of the work was the possibility to gain new experiences and knowledge to this diagnosis.
Case study of physiotherapeutic care of patient after lumbal disc diseasses with radiculopathy L5/S1
Šádek, Petr ; Vrbová, Martina (advisor) ; Dušánek, Tomáš (referee)
Title: Case study of physiotherapeutic care of patient after lumbal disc diseases with radiculopathy L5/S1 Objectives: The objective of theoretical part is to summarize informations acquired by literature search to form an adequate knowledge for manual approach to the problematics. Goal of the special part is creating a case study describing possible rehabilitation care of patient after surgery because of lumbal disease with radiculopathy and afterwards evaluating the effect of chosen therapeutical approaches, which are described in theoretical part. Method: Bachelor thesis was made during a month-long work experience in FN Královské Vinohrady in Prague, where the patient had spent three weeks, from 27.1. to 15.2., which was the 25th to 44th day after the surgery. Within her stay, she had one and a half hour therapy with physiotherapist per day and free acces to the local gym for her autotherapy, where she spent approximately one hour per day. Detailed report of every therapeutic unit is described in the special part, along with effect evaluation of the chosen physiotherapeutic methods. Key words: lumbal diseases, vertebral column, radiculopathy, physiotherapy

The role of HOG MAPK signaling pathway during osmotic stress in Saccharomyces cerevisiae
Vrbová, Michaela ; Pospíšek, Martin (advisor) ; Janderová, Blanka (referee)
THE ROLE OF HOG MAPK SIGNALING PATHWAY DURING OSMOTIC STRESS IN SACCHAROMYCES CEREVISIAE Budding yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) cells utilize a conserved mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling cascade (the high- osmolarity glycerol or HOG pathway) during conditions of increased external osmolarity. It evokes cellular responses necessary to permit continued growth. Activation of HOG pathway with Hog1 MAP kinase results in production of glycerol to prevent dehydration and up regulation of other Hog1 dependent genes because of cell adaptation. We were trying to find difference in translation between wild-type cells and two mutants of hog1 gene before and after 0,4 M NaCl osmotic stress (2, 6, 30 min). We used deletion mutant hog1Δ and hog1-as mutant with point mutation which allows inhibition of Hog1 MAPK during presence of specific AS inhibitor. We tested AS inhibitor by plate test and have found optimal concentration of 5 μM for blocking Hog1 MAPK in hog1-as mutant. Translation profiling proves that osmotic stress decreases translation in general. Hog1Δ mutant and hog1-as AS inhibited mutant behave similarly and their translation recovers slower than the wild-type's. That confirms that HOG1 gene is important for cell recovery from the osmotic stress. Microarray analysis shows that Hog1 dependent...
The Effect of Taping Applied on the Skin with the Orientation along the Muscle Fibres of Underlying Muscle on the Activity of this Muscle
Vrbová, Martina ; Pavlů, Dagmar (advisor) ; Bartůňková, Staša (referee) ; Smolíková, Libuše (referee)
Thesis title: The Effect of Taping Applied to the Skin with the Orientation along the Muscle Fibres of Underlying Muscle on the Activity of this Muscle Problem definition: Taping (the application of an adhesive elastic tape on the body surface) is a widely used therapeutic and preventive method in current sport, clinical and ADL practice. Previous research indicate that taping has effect on pain, proprioception, muscle activity and lymphatic or peripheral vascular circulation. One of the least objectively evaluated effect of taping is the effect on muscle activity. Although the facilitating or inhibiting effect of the tape achieved by the direction of its tension made by the application (from the muscle origin to the insertion or conversely) is commonly referred in available literature, it has not been investigated objectively enough. Objectives: The aim of the study was to evaluate the current findings of the taping method on the base of literature research, formulate hypotheses, work out a quality methodology for the clinical study and through it to evaluate the effect of taping applied to the skin with the orientation along the muscle fibres of underlying muscle on the activity of this muscle. Methods: The evaluation of the findings of the taping method with emphasis on the quality of provided...
Typology of tomb sculptures in the 16th century
Vrbová, Martina ; Nespěšná Hamsíková, Magdaléna (advisor) ; Jarošová, Markéta (referee)
This Bachelor thesis deals with Renaissance tomb sculpture in Czech lands. The thesis first describes types of Renaissance tomb sculptures and mentions symbols and motifs frequently used in that period as well as manners of figures depicted. These findings are summed up using particular examples of the aristocratic sculpture of the House of Lobkowicz and Pernštejn. Each selected tombstone and epitaph is described and set in the context, while attention is also paid to the history of the church where the sculpture is situated and the family buried. At the end, tombstones of the two houses are compared and set in their historical context.
