The diploma thesis summarizes the theoretical background of the chosen topic expanding it to the specific player groups. Additional goals of the empirical part included longitudinal analysis perpetrating to the results of the output motor tests, analysis of the effectivity of an intervention training plan applicable during the preparation period, evaluating output and input results of the motor test. Further goals integrated the comparisons of different level ice hockey players and the specifics of their preparation periods. Methods: The study included 3 participants, who contributed to the longitudinal study, which evaluated their motor skills and further participated in the experimental intervention training plan. The analysis of the explosive strength and power used standardized battery of measures. This battery included long jump, five two-footed jump, throw with a heavy ball (3kg) with an overstep and the back side of the thigh strength standing and sitting. The length was measured using the standard SI metric system. The current...

Pilná, Petra ; Musálek, Martin (advisor) ; Vojta, Zdeněk (referee)
Title: Somatotype and off-ice performance as predictors for long term hockey perspective in youth ice hockey players. Objectives: The aim of this thesis was to determine whether a player's somatotype and performance in selected off-ice tests predict a player's hockey perspective judged by coaches in youth hockey of the highest domestic competition. Methods: The thesis included 112 hockey players in highest youth league. The off-ice tests included 1. Illinois agility, 2. Illinois agility with a ball, 3. Five jump test, 4. Sit and Reach Flexibility Test, 5. Squat Jump, 6. Free Arm Countermovement Jump, 7. Pull ups, 8. 1500 m run. The somatotype was evaluated according to the method of Heath and Carter (1990). The analysis of variance with repetition was used to compare performances over time with respect to somatotype categorization. A paired T-test with a confidence level of 95 % (p < 0,05) was used to assess potential within-survey. Cohen's d was used for the paired T-test to estimate the clinical significance (effect size), with Cohen's d ≤ 0.3 determined as the clinically significant effect size. To estimate the degree of influence of the selected off-ice tests on game perspective was assesed by multiple regression analysis with significance p < 0,05 and adjusted R2. Results: The only significant...

Tittle: Influence of skating technique on skating speed in players aged 8-10 Objektive: Search teoretic procedures for teaching skating and speed development in ice hockey in available literature. Then create and apply a set of exercises to improve skating techniques for the 8-10 year category. Use skating speed tests to verify the effectiveness of the exercises and demonstrate the effect of the skating technique on skating. Works: - Look for theoretical techniques for skating techniques and ice hockey. - Create and apply a set of exercises to develop ice skating techniques. - Use skating speed tests to verify the effectiveness of the selected exercises. - Compare the test results between three teams with a different volume of skating training. Results: Find out the effect of skating technique on skating speed. Hypotheses: 1. Players aged 8-10 will have comparable lead times in each test in all three teams. 2.
