Dynamic load during reactive strength tasks
Kováč, Dan ; Hojka, Vladimír (advisor) ; Vindušková, Jitka (referee)
Title: Dynamic load during reactive strength tasks Objectives: Objectives were to explore and measure biomechanic parameters of athletes performing different reactive strength tasks using force plates. Methods: 8 male athletes (22,4 ± 1,2 years; 76,3 ± 4,3 kg) took part in experiment. Each of them performed 8 different reactive strength tasks (alternate and single leg bounds, pogo jumps on place, low hurdle jumps, high hurdle jumps 76 cm and 91 cm and long jump take off from 8 and 12 steps approach). Dynamics of tasks was measured using Kistler 9281 EA with sample rate of 1000 Hz. Main observed parameters were maximum vertical force, time to peak force, contact time and impulse. Data were processed in MATLAB R2022a (The MathWorks, Inc. Natick, Massachusetts, USA) and Microsoft Excel 2019. Results: Differences in dynamics of reactive tasks were observed among single leg and double leg exercises. Double leg exercises had much longer time to peak of vertical force than single leg exercises. Biggest vertical forces were observed during single leg bounds, where overload reached seven times body weight. On the other hand lowest peak of vertical force was measured during long jump takeoff from eight steps approach. Maximal forces got higher and contact time shorter with increased approach speed during...

Melová, Kateřina ; Vindušková, Jitka (advisor) ; Kaplan, Aleš (referee)
Title: Motivation of children to athletics Objectives: The main goal of this Diploma thesis was to find out the level of motivation of children from the category U15 and U13 from athletic club. In general, I focused on the motivation of young athletes that can be affected not only by the past pandemic situation but also by modern technology and the time we live in. What type of motivation dominate in children, how is it related to the behavior, what impact does it have on children and if there is an increase of amotivation because of the covid pandemic situation. Other goal was also to collect an information about children's feelings regarding to functioning of Dipoli Athletics club and share the results with the leaders of the club to increase the quality. Methods: The research was carried out using a quantitative method using a questionnaire survey. The questionnaire contained five sections of different types of motivation. The first part examined the basic information of respondents (gender, age,..). For the second part I chose the Sport Motivation Scale questionnaire which evaluates how much the reasons of why the children are doing sport are related to the children's participation in sport using self- determination continuum. The main research question is "Why are they doing sports? " and...

Title: The influence of the menstrual cycle on the track and field athletic performance of top athletes Objectives: The main goal of the bachelor's thesis is based on information gathered by the study of foreign and domestic sources to describe whether and to what extent the menstrual cycle and its individual phases affect the athletic performance of top athletes in training and competition. The secondary goal is to de-taboo the issue, to offer not only female athletes and their coaches ways to make the most of the natural cyclicality of female athletes, to draw attention to serious health complications resulting from insufficient erudition about the issue. Methods: An overview study based on a search of foreign language and domestic articles and monographs dealing with the issue of the menstrual cycle in top athletics, resp. in elite sports for the period 1991-2022. Results: Based on a survey study of a total of 22 foreign-language and 57 Czech sources, it can be stated that we encounter more specific issues of the menstrual cycle in women's elite sports in foreign-language literature than in domestic. Foreign authors come up with more controversial hypotheses and embark on more controversial research, the results of which are often very surprising. On the other hand, Czech-speaking authors...
A study of the realationship of individual phases of the 110 m hurdles with overall performance
Slavíček, Lukáš ; Červinka, Pavel (advisor) ; Vindušková, Jitka (referee)
Title: A study of the relationship of individual phases of the 110 m hurdles with overall performance Objectives: The main goal of this diploma thesis was to use correlation analysis to determine which phases of the 110 m hurdles have the closest relationship (most highly correlated) with overall performance at different performance levels. Another goal was to determine how the time courses of their performances differ. Methods: Considering the objectives of this thesis, a quantitative research method was chosen, namely a correlation survey. Kinematic analysis using the computer program Kinovea was used to analyze the filmed material. To determine the correlation between the different phases of the 110 m hurdles (1st acceleration phase, 2nd acceleration phase, maximum speed phase, speed endurance phase and 3rd acceleration phase) with the overall performances in each category, we chose correlation analysis using an analytical tool (correlation matrix) in Microsoft Excel. Results: In all three performance levels, the overall performance was most correlated with the performance in the maximum speed phase, during which the Czech hurdlers' time courses differed the most from the world's hurdling elite, as in this phase was the largest decline in performance. When examining correlations, we found that...
