Pánková, Magdaléna ; Viktorová, Ida (advisor) ; Vídršperková, Lenka (referee)
This diploma thesis aims to delve deeper into parents' perspectives on their children's schools. The research intends to investigate the factors that parents consider significant when assessing their child's educational institution and also considers their own past experiences with schooling, which may influence their expectations for their children's education. The theoretical part explores the concept of school satisfaction, examines the current discourse on education with a focus on the parent-school relationship, and highlights socio-cultural disparities in attitudes towards education and their reproduction. The empirical section of the thesis outlines the research goals and questions and describes the use of semi-structured interviews with eight parents whose children are currently studying in the third year of grammar school or secondary vocational school. Detailed profiles of the participants are also presented. The collected data is analyzed and grouped into four main categories and other sub-categories, which provide insights into parents' perspectives on their children's education. The findings reveal that parents prioritize children's satisfaction, individualized teaching approaches, and a collaborative partnership between parents and the school. Parents use their own past experiences as...

The bachelor thesis is focused on mapping the main themes of the drama by A. P. Chekhov The Seagull. The aim is to describe the intertwining of the lines of love, art and the symbol of the seagull in relation to the characters. Analysis, compilation and comparison are used in the treatment, and the findings will be demonstrated through practical examples and quotations from the play, which will form part of the theoretical part of the thesis. The thesis also includes conceptual maps that graphically illustrate the thematic relationships between characters and themes. Sylvia Plath and her work from the perspective of psychobiography
Zachová, Jana ; Kučera, Miloš (advisor) ; Viktorová, Ida (referee)
The goal of my bachelor's thesis is to analyse the relationship between Sylvia Plath's biography and her work, focusing on the so-called confidence poems, especially in the question of her relationship with her father, using the principles of psychobiography. The first part of the thesis focuses on the concepts of psychobiography as conceived by William T. Schultz and the psychology of artistic literature. The thesis also includes a brief biography of Sylvia Plath, an introduction of confessional poetry, and a short survey of the author's work. The primary sources I work with in this thesis are Plath's artwork and her journals. In this thesis I also present three different studies that have previously focused on Sylvia Plath's work and life. For the purpose of this thesis, I have chosen the poem Daddy, one of Sylvia Plath's most famous poems, which I discuss and analyse in detail in the thesis. I will interpret the findings psychologically, primarily using a psychoanalytic perspective. Finally, I compare my findings with the biography of the subject under study.
