The Bachelor thesis is focused on description of individual points of the 0-10 scale of the modified version of the Frenchay arm test in patients after cerebrovascular stroke (CVA). The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part describes the issue of CVA in detail. It includes statistics, types of strokes and clinical symptoms. Further, in the theoretical part, tests for upper limb examination are mentioned. The Modified Frenchay Scale and the Frenchay Arm Test are described in more detail, two other tests are mentioned only marginally. The theoretical part also mentions the types and phases of grip that we can observe in the Modified Frenchay Scale and the list of common daily activities. The practical part of the bachelor thesis contains three case reports of patients after CVA. Patients in the bachelor thesis represent the acute, subacute and chronic phase of CVA. The case reports include descriptions of each task of the Modified Frenchay Scale and their scoring on the scale 0-10. Attachments include a manual with suggested descriptions for the individual points of the 0-10 scale of the modified version of the Frenchay arm test.
