Training Intelligent Agents in Unity Game Engine
Vaculík, Jan ; Chlubna, Tomáš (referee) ; Matýšek, Michal (advisor)
The goal of this work is to design applications, which demonstrate the power of machine learning in video games. To achieve this goal, this work uses the ML-Agents toolkit, which allows the creation of intelligent agents in the Unity Game Engine. Furthermore, a series of experiments showing the properties and flexibility of intelligent agents in several real-time scenarios is presented. To train the agents, the toolkit uses reinforcement learning and imitation learning algorithms.
Proximal femoral fracture. Results of treatment. Secondary prevention of new proximal femoral fracture after fracture of contralateral proximal femur.
Vaculík, Jan ; Džupa, Valér (advisor) ; Tuček, Milan (referee) ; Edelmann, Karel (referee)
In terms of loss of independence, mortality and their economic impact, proximal femoral fractures are the most serious of all low energy fractures. They heighten the risk of further low energy fractures including contralateral proximal femoral fracture. Fracture of the contralateral proximal femur is associated with higher mortality than fracture of the first proximal femur. Approximately half of proximal femoral fracture patients have already suffered a low energy fracture. In most cases, even these patients are not treated for osteoporosis and no course of action is undertaken to prevent further fractures. Patients suffering low energy fractures are often not aware of the causes of the fracture and do not know that by preventative measures it is possible to reduce risk of further fractures. Patients with low energy fractures frequently suffer from chronic diseases and a significant number of these patients suffer from cognitive impairment. In most cases, treatment by general practitioners to prevent fractures is not provided although there is considerable evidence showing the effectiveness of preventative measures. With a view to unifying approaches to prevention, guidelines for fracture prevention after proximal femoral fracture have been established, endorsed by professional organizations. Aim: The goal...
Comparing applied policies and approaches in select U.S. cities in the context of urban crime
Vaculík, Jan ; Dopieralla, Jakub (advisor) ; Tesař, Jakub (referee)
The bachelor thesis "Comparison of applied policies and approaches in selected American cities in the context of urban crime" will deal with public policies addressing the issue of urban crime in selected American cities. The main part of the work will be an overview of the situation in each city, including the implementation of individual policies in the given urban areas and then their subsequent comparison. Within each city, three topics will be covered. The first will be an outline of history in the context of the issue. The subsequent main part within each city will deal with specific policies and their results. The final part will be devoted to the elaboration of the political context. The objectives of the subsequent comparison will be the results of the strategies across the defined cities, together with the impacts and influence of individual policies on the decline in crime. The comparison will also include an overall comparison of the policies and their implications.

Analysis of role of the EU outermost regions within their country and within their development funding from EU Structural funds
Vaculík, Jan ; Pělucha, Martin (advisor) ; Kouřilová, Jana (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to identify basic characteristics related to position of the outermost regions of the member states of the EU within EU development policies. These regions are evaluated from the point of view including allocated funding within Structural Funds (SF) and European Structural and Investments Funds during the programming periods of 2000-2006, 2007-2013, and 2014-2020, content of the operational programmes, and basic economic indicators. The outermost regions shows lower values of GDP per capita than European regions of the same country while showing higher allocated funding per capita than the European regions of the same country. The outermost regions also shows constantly growing GDP per capita at least from 2000 while the SF and ESIF allocated funding for the regions decreases. These findings are predictable. Interesting finding is that while the regional GDP of the outermost regions increases investments efforts do not shift towards soft projects. The investments efforts show steadily hard project implementation activities and increasing ratio of environmental projects, which are mostly hard projects. This finding creates space for improving concept of more developed regions focusing of soft projects and less developed regions focusing on hard projects.
Cost - benefit analysis of a chosen cycling path supported from ROP NUTS II Central Bohemia
Vaculík, Jan ; Květoň, Viktor (advisor) ; Pova, Patrik (referee)
This paper pursues the evaluation of acceptability of a project related to cycling infrastructure within the micro region of Čáslavsko. The theoretical part discuss development of cycling infrastructure in Czech Republic and abroad, investments into the cycling infrastructure and describes current situation of cycling infrastructure in Czech Republic. The practical part contains the case study concerning evaluation of return ability of the project. To analyse the effects were used methods of comparing costs and befits, outdoor observation and questioning of subjects influenced by realization of the project. The benefits are effects of the project related to life of residents and profits of local enterprises. Result of the analysis is unacceptability of the project from economical point of view. From social point of view the project can be evaluated as acceptable mainly because of its influence on improvement of health situation of residents and safety of cyclists in the region.
