Keeping records about nursing care at standard medical unit

This bachelor's thesis studies the documentation activities of nurses and the quantity of entries they have to record during a single shift. The aim of the work is to detail what types of records nurses make, what kind of forms they fill in, and how much time they spend doing documentation. The theoretical part focuses on medical documentation and on the documentation kept in the health care facilities where the observations were made and the data was collected. The empirical part describes the format of record entries and provides example entries with measurements of the time spent recording them. The aim of the ethnographic research was to understand the activities and reasons that lead nurses to make these entries.
