Sculptural representations of Heracles in the castles of the Kingdom of Bohemia during the baroque period. Chosen examples

The immediate purpose of writing this thesis is to explore the sculptures of Heracles outside of the selected Baroque castles in the contemporary Ústí nad Labem Region and in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. For this assignment, I have aimed to obtain documentation concerning the decor of individual castles, based on which I further interpret sculptural works, particularly depicting this demigod, and exceptionally several other sculptures located on selected castle grounds. In addition, I also address the question of how this hero is most often depicted and what its function in the concerned areas should be. There are two parts to the final assignment- a theoretical part and a research part. In the theoretical part, I deal with the introduction of Heracles in Graeco-Roman mythology, as well as the characteristics of Baroque and its reflection in arts such as architecture, music, sculpture, literature and painting. As research methods, I chose interviews with employees of individual institutions and documentation analysis. Coordination abilities level of younger school age children

Title: Coordination abilities' level of primary school children Author: Petra Vlčková Department: Department of Physical Education Supervisor: Mgr. et Mgr. Zdeňka Engelthalerová Abstract: This thesis is devided into two parts. The theoretical part includes theoretical knowledge, which relates to motoric abilities, especially their definition and structuring in relation to primary school children. There is also a description of coordination abilities and their possibile recognising and development in detail. In the practical part there is a description of testing procedure which finds out the level of space orientation, balance and rhythm coordination abilities by pupils in the forth form at primary school. The tests results are statistically analysed and annotated. Obtained data are compiled in charts and diagrams. There is a supplement to the practical part containing the compendium of activities for coordination development. Key words: coordination abilities, primary school age, motor learning, motor tests
Measuring subjective well-being of teachers at elementary schools with using the anchoring vignette method

The diploma thesis deals with evaluation of subjective well-being of elementary school teachers with use of anchoring vignettes. General goal of the thesis is to research actual subjective well-being of teachers and find out what factors are affecting it. Theoretical part characterizes subjective well-being and its components, its interconnection with life satisfaction, quality of life and happiness. Theoretical part also consists of explanation of the anchoring vignettes method including description of its application in particular researches. Empirical part of the thesis uses an existing survey method called Diener's satisfaction with life scale supplemented by anchoring vignettes. The research refers to high level of subjective well-being among teachers. Some variables (eg. family status, work in city or village) which make differences between levels of satisfaction were found. Application of anchoring vignettes method confirmed results of self-assessing questions in most cases. This bachelor thesis is focusing on various types of production of hard candies by usage of special raw materials. In the first part the thesis focuses on the general production technology of hard candies where the most important area of attention are given to sugar syrup productions, starch syrup and its various degrees of concentration. In the second part the thesis focuses on the production technology of the special raw materials and their extracts. Firstly, it focuses on the beer production technology, especially the wort, as a possible special raw material. Furthermore, the technology of wine production and, in particular, wine mash, which might be a special raw material for the production of sweets.
Integration of children with developmental dysphasia in regular elementary schools

This bachelor thesis deals with developmental dysphasia. The aim of this thesis is to try to expound this complicated disorder. Also the thesis highlights the difficult integration of the disabled child to a regular class in elementary school. The theoretical part of this thesis briefly describe speech disorders. In detail there is defined the concept of developmental dysphasia, its symptoms, diagnosis and organizations that may be helpful for children with this handicap. A special chapter is devoted to the integration process. In the practical part is used the method of case studies. The focus is on analysis of technical documentation and observation of two integrated pupils with developmental dysphasia in elementary school.
Personal and professional life of Milada Paulová in the interwar period. On the road to contemporary history

This thesis is about the proffesional life of Milada Paulová. The thesis deals with the reaction of the historical community to her decision to focuson contemporary history (origin of the Czechoslovak Republik, Czechoslovakia South Slavic cooperation of rebels from the First World War). This decision caused her many problems (for example her nomination as a professor and the conflict between her an her teacher Jaroslav Bidlo). Three books by Milada Paulová (Jugoslavenski odbor. Povijest jugoslovenské emigracije za svjetsko rata od 1914-1918, Jihoslovanský odboj a česká Maffie I. díl. Chorvatská politika za světové války do otevření říšské rady ve Vídni v květnu 1917 (1914 -1917) a Dějiny Maffie. Odboj Čechů a Jihoslovanů za první světové války 1914 -1918 ) are compared in the last part of the thesis.

Hydrography and runoff regime of the Úpa River

This bachelor thesis presents, in the first part, physical-geographical characteristics of the Úpa River basin. It is described in terms of geology, geomorphology and soil characteristics, biogeography, land cover and climate. The individual characteristics are based on the research from scientific literature. The next part details the hydrography with absolute and descriptive characteristics of the basin and river network. The third part focuses on the evaluation of the runoff regime of the river Úpa, which is based primarily on processing and evaluation of data series from 1988 to 2011 from the Česká Skalice and Zlíč stations. Analysis of the runoff is carried out through daily, monthly, and annual flow regimes. Key words: Upa river basin, hydrography, runoff regime, flow rate
