Optical characterization of perovskite nanostructures
Urban, Jakub ; Kvapil, Michal (referee) ; Dvořák, Petr (advisor)
The present bachelor's thesis focuses on the optical characterization of CsPbBr3 nanocrystals ranking among the group of materials called perovskites which are remarkable for their high photoluminescence (PL) quantum yield. An algorithm for a correlation of experimental data measured by PL mapping with morphological and topological properties obtained by using Scanning Electron Microscopy and Atomic Force Microscopy has been developed which clears the way for a particular crystal detection and their spectrum analysis. Specifically, crystals the shape of which can be approximated by a cuboid have been detected and the volume dependence of the centre of mass of their PL, which is proportional to V^(-2/3) as predicted by the theorethical model, has been discovered. The measurement of PL dependency on temperatures ranging from 40 to 60 °C has also been conducted and in this temperature interval linear dependence of the full width at half maximum of their PL spectral line that rises with rising temperature has been confirmed. On the contrary, the centre of mass of PL has been found to be temperature independent.

Edge localized modes (ELMs) are a concern for future magnetic fusion devices, such as ITER, due to the large transient heat loads they generate on the plasma facing components. A very promising method of ELM suppression is an application of resonant magnetic perturbations (RMP); however, such application leads to localized places of higher heat fluxes called footprints. Both ELMs and RMP could limit the operational lifetime of the device. In this thesis, we analyze the temporal and spatial distribution of footprints using the tangle distance method in the aim to prevent a transient overheating. We also analyze quasi-double-null configuration of the ITER plasma which can be expected to be the most susceptible to overheating of the upper wall. Based on the modelling, the potentially dangerous configurations of the RMP have been shown. Using the ELM filament model included in the LOCUST GPU code, we study temporal and spatial distribution of the heat fluxes caused by ELMs in the axially symmetric and the asymmetric magnetic field. The results are compared with published experimental observations. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Legal aspects of startup financing and venture capital investments
Urban, Jakub ; Kohajda, Michael (advisor) ; Sejkora, Tomáš (referee)
1 Legal aspects of startup financing and venture capital investments Abstract The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze the legal aspects of startup financing, especially with a focus on venture capital investments. As the transaction documentation related to venture capital investments usually contains a significant number of foreign language clauses and provisions, a part of my thesis is dedicated to these clauses and their detailed description using practical examples. The content itself is divided into three parts. The first of them generally defines the companies referred to as startups and their individual development stages. It also answers the question, startups are facing in their beginnings, of choosing the appropriate legal form. The conclusion of the first part is then focused practically on individual methods used for startup valuation. The second part is then focused on the venture capital investment realization and specific transaction documentation associated with capital investment. The beginning of the second part is focused on pre-contractual documentation referred to as the Term Sheet and legal Due Diligence. Subsequently, the Shareholders' Agreement and individual foreign language clauses and provisions are analyzed. Those provisions are part of the Shareholders' Agreement in order...

The major objective of this bachelor thesis is a dining table, specifically an expandable table with added wooden supports. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the historical development of dining tables and their construction, the official requirements of furniture dimensions with regards to the science of ergonomics and anthropometry, types of dining tables and their manufacturing and lastly the legislature in form of the official standards and proofing. The thesis aims to support its output, which is the prototype of an expandable dining table with added wooden supports. Its layout is attached independently in the technical documentation.
Inovation of laboratory tasks from BLOS
Urban, Jakub ; Valach, Soběslav (referee) ; Holek, Radovan (advisor)
This thesis deals with innovation of tasks from bachelor subject Logical systems. Three tasks in total in VHDL language were designed and tested for development kit Digilent Nexys 3 and peripheries Pmod which are connected to it. First task is focused on reading pressed key on matrix keyboard. Second and third tasks targets on displaying pressed key on OLED display, they differ by used controller for this display. Instructions for all tasks were created.
OLGA – efficient full wave code for the coupling of LH grills
Preinhaelter, Josef ; Hillairet, J. ; Urban, Jakub
The full wave code OLGA, for determining the coupling of a single row lower hybrid launcher (waveguide grills) to the plasma, is extended to handle multirow multijunction active passive structures (like the C3 and C4 launchers on TORE SUPRA) by implementing the scattering matrix formalism. The extended code is still computationally fast because of the use of (i) 2D splines of the plasma surface admittance in the accessibility region of the k-space, (ii) high order Gaussian quadrature rules for the integration of the coupling elements and (iii) utilizing the symmetries of the coupling elements in the multiperiodic structures. The extended OLGA code is benchmarked against the ALOHA-1D, ALOHA-2D and TOPLHA codes for the coupling of the C3 and C4 TORE SUPRA launchers for several plasma configurations derived from reflectometry and interferometery. Unlike nearly all codes (except the ALOHA-1D code), OLGA does not require large computational resources and can be used for everyday usage in planning experimental runs. In particular, it is shown that the OLGA code correctly handles the coupling of the C3 and C4 launchers over a very wide range of plasma densities in front of the grill.

In the experiments with the massive gas injection (MGI) triggered disruptions in the COMPASS tokamak, post-disruptive runaway electron (RE) beams are generated occasionally. In this contribution, a relatively large set of discharges from the recent years is analysed in order to improve our understanding of the processes behind the beam generation. It seems that despite the low toroidal field applied in the discharges (typically 1.15 T) the magnetic perturbations may be small enough to allow the acceleration and confinement of the electrons. The influence of the different components and different sections of the frequency spectrum of the magnetic perturbations on the beam generation and RE beam current is examined. Fast visible camera images are also analysed. The relevance of COMPASS runaway electron experiments for large machines is discussed. Moreover, the potential of less common diagnostic tools (Cherenkov detector, vertical ECE, ...) to clarify the role of the pre-disruption fast electron population and the influence of prompt runaway electron losses in the current quench is discussed using the recent test measurements.
