Health and social worker as a member of multi-disciplinary team in psychiatric hospital

The aim of the bachelor thesis entitled Medical Social Worker as a member of a multidisciplinary team in a psychiatric hospital is to find out what are the specifics of social work of a medical social worker in a psychiatric hospital with a focus on medical social workers as a member of a multidisciplinary team and to use the qualitative research to mediate the view of experienced medical social workers working in a psychiatric hospital. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part contains five chapters dealing with the legislation concerning medical social worker, multidisciplinary team and its composition, methods of social work in health care, specifics of social work in health care and the role of medical social worker in psychiatric hospital. The empirical part then includes the sixth chapter, which contains an analysis of interviews with four experienced medical social workers working in a psychiatric hospital. Social rehabilitation of persons with mental illness: termination of this social service and prevention of addiction to this type of social service

This bachelor thesis titled Social rehabilitation of persons with mental illness: termination of this social service and prevention of addiction to this type of social service aims to describe the topic of social rehabilitation of persons with mental illness with special focus on issue of termination this type of social service and prevention of addiction to this type of service, and also to present a point of view of social workers who are working in social rehabilitation with this target group via a qualitative research. The thesis is divided into two parts - a theoretical and an empirical one. The theoretical part contains five chapters dealing with serious mental illness, impact of this illness to man's life and his closest people, social rehabilitation, termination of social service and prevention of addiction to social service. The empirical part contains an analysis of the interviews taken with seven respondents who are working in social rehabilitation with persons with mental illness for several years. The interview's subject was the respondents' outlook on the issues of termination of social rehabilitation of persons with mental illness and prevention of addiction on this type of social service.
The use of volunteers in hospice care and creating working conditions for their activities

The main topic of these theses is the use of volunteers in hospice care with the aim of creating conditions for their activities. The theoretical part is devoted to the characteristics of volunteering, hospice care and the specifics of volunteering in hospice care. Its main part focuses on a description of what a good volunteer program should generally include and what specifics are added to it in the area of hospice care. The creation of conditions for volunteer activity takes place primarily in the field of correct selection, training, motivation, supervision and evaluation of volunteers. The practical part of the theses is focused on an example of an established volunteer program in the community palliative care unit "Cesta domů". The analysis describes all the essential areas defined in the theoretical part of the theses. The reason for choosing this organization is its 15-year experience with a volunteer program and the specific status of a volunteer in a community palliative care unit.
Possibilities of using Garden Therapy for Persons with Visual Impairment in the Home for Visually Impaired Persons Palata

The bachelor thesis "The Possibilities of Using Horticultural Therapy for Persons with Visual Impairment in the House for Patients with Visual Impairment named Palata" deals with the theme of horticultural therapy and ways of its application to people with visual impairment in a particular facility. Theoretical part includes definitions of key topics such as visual impairment, dementia and horticultural therapy. However, it mostly focuses on horticultural therapy and the limitations and possibilities of their use. The practical part contains a description of designed and tested possibilities of use as well as their evaluation and final modification of individual examples.
Historical Sociology of Autism in the Czech Republic

This dissertation focuses on the development of autism in the Czech Republic from an historical-sociological perspective. The study pursues the structural processes related to autism and their impacts on individuals, as well as the roles of various agents in the shaping of these processes. The study utilises the social constructivist approach as well as the standpoints of the interpretative stream of sociology. The concept of autism was introduced in Czechoslovakia in the 1960s. It was understood as a rare psychiatric disorder and was known about by only a few professionals. Until the beginning of the 1990s, autism wasn't recognised in Czechoslovak society. Since the beginning of the 1990s new processes have emerged, resulting in the formation of a paradigm of autism - a new dominant and increasingly recognized system of values, methods, approaches and institutions, all connected to the concept of autism. The category of autism was reconceptualized in the 1990s and has started to be used more widely in Czech society. Based on the concept of autism, new institutions have emerged, such as specialized educational approaches and services, therapeutic methods, social services and NGOs etc. Discourses of autism have also started to form. Covering the needs od people after living institutional care according to the theory Pesso Boyden psychomotor therapy

The bachelor work on "Covering the needs of people after leaving institutional care according to the theory Pesso Boyden psychomotor therapy" aims to determine whether the needs specified in this theory are fulfilled in people after leaving institutional care. Each one of the needs is evaluated individually by asking questions to certain target groups. The theoretical part deals with the theory of Pess and Boyden. It points out the way in which it came about and what it comes from. It deals with the basic concept of human needs and consequently with the concepts of needs according to this theory. Furthermore, it will focus on the target group of youth leaving institutional education. In the practical part, using a structured questionnaire, it reveals the extent and degree of fulfillment of individual human needs. The evaluation did not reveal any major drawbacks, but it did reveal several recommendations. In conclusion, he showed that this theory can be used to assess the fulfillment of individual needs and that none of the needs is completely satisfied and fulfilled. Help for families with alcoholic problems in Chrudim

The title of the Bachelor's thesis is "Help for families with alcoholic problems in Chrudim". This Bachelor's thesis focuses on parents of minor children with alcohol-related issues. The main aim of the thesis is to depict general social services offered - primarily to alcoholics - and to map and evaluate these services in Chrudim. The first chapter describes addictions in gerenal, the effects of addiction on families, as well as ways how to prevent addiction. The second chapter elaborates on general services that directly involve alcoholics or people who get involved in alcoholism indirectly. The third chapter characterizes services for alcohol addicts in Chrudim. The fourth chapter includes research based on interviews with employees of specific oranizations in Chrudim. The fifth chapter presents the information gathered from the research in detail. The last chapter summarizes and evaluates the results of the research. This Bachelor Thesis titled "Care subsidy - Social Investigation and Its Success in the Proceedings of the Proposals for Change and Reassessment of the Claim" consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part explains some concepts and describes the course of the entire process of the application for care subsidy focusing on social research. The practical part contains mainly individual examples of social investigations and their course as well as the results of the whole process, including the comparison of the proposals of the social investigation with the assessment of the medical assessment service.
