Project plan for the opening of a branch of the Prosaz, z.ú. organization with personal assistance services in Mariánské Lázně

This thesis focus on the availability of personal assistance services in Mariánské Lázně and the administrative district of the municipality. In response to this issue, it proposes the establishment of a branch of the Prague-based organization Prosaz, z.ú., providing personal assistance services in this locality. The development of the project proposal is divided into three parts: theoretical, analytical, and proposal sections. The theoretical part explains the concept of social services, outlining various types and forms of social services for seniors and people with disabilities. A special chapter is dedicated to personal assistance, covering its legal framework, history, different types, and objectives. Furthermore, the author presents Mariánské Lázně in terms of selected demographic data, social care provision, and various social service providers for seniors in this area. Another chapter delves into a closer presentation of the Prosaz organization, focusing on personal assistance and caregiving services, with which collaboration will occur in crafting the project for this thesis. Charakteristika jakosti nealkoholických nápojů z hlediska jejich nutriční hodnoty

The theme of this bachelor thesis is „Characteristics of the quality of soft drinks in terms of their nutritional value“. In this thesis, we can find a division of soft drinks according to technological and legislation, furthermore basic raw materials for their production or basic technological processes of selected beverages. The thesis summarizes the requirements for the quality of beverages, their labeling, packaging and market launch. It presents customer knowledge - what influences their purchasing decisions. The thesis deals with the consumption of soft drinks in the Czech Republic and in the world. It compares the most popular drinks, describes their composition, their nutritional values, and the positive or negative effects of individual beverage ingredients. In conclusion, the recommendations for consumption are presented and summarized.

Nutrigenetic interactions of dietary intake of carbohydrates in pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes

Type 2 diabetes is the most common metabolic condition caused by multiple factors comprising genetic predispositions, lifestyle including diet quality and quantity, environmental factors and others. Particular alleles of numerous genes taking part in pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes interact with dietary intake of specific carbohydrate or distinct ratio of carbohydrates and other macronutrients. The aim of this Bachelor thesis is to summarize the currently available data on nutrigenetic interactions involving carbohydrate intake and, at the same time, affecting risk of type 2 diabetes manifestation.

Occurence of VHA in Prague

Increase in reported cases of VHA has been observed since late May 2008. As many as 1648 laboratory confirmed VHA cases were reported from January 1 to December 31, 2008. Most cases of VHA were distributed in Prague. As many as 910 VHA cases were reported in Prague, it is 55,2% from VHA cases in ČR. Epidemic started between IVN and proceed to population. Epidemic culminated on September 2008. Increase of resistence after infection, vaccination, health education and seccussive improved hygienic standard of population were reason for ending centres of infection.
