Markéta Breníková DEPARTMENT (INSTITUTE): Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Education, School Management Center TUTOR: PhDr. Jan Voda, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: The thesis concerns present problematics of headteachers's feedback in a (czech) primary education system. The feedback is a component of comunication inside the school, a headteacher can use it as an instrument to rise the quality of the institution as well as lead the teachers towards the use of the feedback. The headteacher leads an effective team, creates beneficial atmosphere of raising and supported feedback. In the theoretical part, the thesis defines the feedback and related qualities in education, touching the managing methods. The reserach results show common unsysthematic use of the feedback, to a selected individuals instead of all employees in the primary educational system. In their challenging profession, the teachers need targeted support and advancement. However the headtechars do often not have competence necessary to provide systemic feedback. Organization structure of a basic school of arts

TITLE: Organization Structure of a Basic School of Arts AUTHOR: Iveta Sinkulová ABSTRACT: My bachelor thesis "Organization Structure of a Basic School of Arts" sets a goal to research which organization structures are applied at basic schools of arts, how the jobs of headmaster and heads of departments are incorporated into the Org Chart and which tasks are delegated to them in terms of the management of teaching process. The first thing performed was descriptive research. Then the work of deputy headmaster and heads of departments is analysed and areas for delegation of tasks and corresponding jobs are suggested. Based on research of Org Charts of some other schools of arts, this work could be a clue how to set up and work on the structure or how to deal with its possible changes. My research and conclusions will well serve to the headmasters of basic schools of art, who care about how to control the teaching process and better organize the jobs. The output should provide a holistic view on the subjects. Org Charts should be a live document and not just a formal thing.
Analysis of Preparation for Principal in Selected Country of OECD

The diploma work is called: "Analysis of preparation for the post of Principal in Selected Country of OECD. It is aimed at preparing the Principal in their profession before taking the office. It describes the different educational systems focused on the training of directors in selected OECD countries - the Czech Republic, USA, Canada, Chile. The aim is to compare the preparation for the profession Principal before taking office in each country, focusing on practice, education, legal grounding.. The theoretical part deals with the historical perspective of the OECD in terms of education, access to education in different historical periods since the inception of the organization. It also deals with the initial preparation of Principals prior to becoming director in terms of personality and school manager. The practical part describes the situation of education with a focus on Principal in selected countries. the conclusion are set out common elements of education directors.
Headmaster after ten years, new inspiration

I am interested in the problematics of the professional career of the experienced school headmasters who have been at their work position for more than 10 years in my final bachalor's thesis. I am concerned about headmasters from different types of schools, with different number of pupils and students as well as different region of work. The goal was to create the file of the most often occurance of motivation factors and of inspirational sources of that target group. My work is based on all involved conditions, in which these people perform their job. It comes out the requests, which are laid on them and out of expectation which is closely connected to this sort of demanding job. The work reveals the most common motivational factors and inspirational sources of experienced headmasters through the qualitative empirical research and through the oriented method of life history. Furthermore it releases them in the particular context. At the same time it brings the knowledge about the importance of motivational factors and inspiration from the perspective of headmasters of schools themselves. Time management of a nursery school headmistress

Time management mapping appears to be the objective of this bachelor's thesis. The time management issue has been worked up in final bachelors' theses which were studied by the author of this thesis for purposes of synthesis and summarizing results of more empiric studies carried out by many authors. The author of this thesis also formulated the essence and gave some systematic survey of results of the current time management research resulting from the given sample of bachelors' theses. Evaluation of knowledge, information and principles significant for making time management within the school management more effective is an object of the research. The theoretical part of the thesis contents concepts, rules, principles and techniques of the time management based on the professional literature. The method of meta-analysis has been used to sort out the knowledge on time management in various spheres resulting from the college students' research. This bachelor's thesis summarizes and evaluates the knowledge, information and principles significant for making the time management within the school management more effective and consequently it also gives some survey of the research results publicized in those bachelors' theses. Issue of the use of modern technologies in managing the current kindergarten

The thesis is concerned with the use of computers and ICT technology in nursery schools in the Czech Republic, those in particular where children have the opportunity to work with Kid Smart computers. The assignment should chart and analyze the information and communication literacy of school directors, to document available ICT technologies suitable for nursery schools, and define potential barriers that prevent their wider usage and to propose measures to directors that would lead to a gradual overcoming of these issues. A comparison with the situation abroad includes schools in Iceland and Portugal. A portion of this thesis deals with research regarding this topic and its subsequent evaluation. The assignment should provide directors with a well arranged description of available ICT for nursery schools and should familiarize them with the appropriate software for managing administration.
Innovations in the management of non-formal education

This final thesis deals with innovations in the management of informal education. The main objective is to highlight the importance of innovations in informal and leisure education, and bring inspiration to the managers of informal and leisure education in the form of examples of good practice. In the theoretical part informal and interest education is incorporated into the overall educational system of the Czech Republic and its development is illustrated on the laws and decrees from 1948 to present. The research in the form of structured interview with respondents revealed their view on innovations in leisure education and showed their experience with the introduction of innovations in their own organizations. The process and the conclusions of structured interviews clearly highlighted the need for innovation in informal and leisure education for the competitiveness of informal education organizations. The executives of school facilities for leisure education as well as organizations of informal education can hereby find inspiration for each specific innovation in the examples of good practice.
Necessity of change in professional preparation of teachers

1 ABSTRACT: The present thesis argues for the necessity of a fundamental change in the professional preparation of primary and secondary school teachers; additionally, it discusses the way the education of future teachers should take. From the perspective of educational management, it proposes concrete measures that should be taken in order to implement the change. The author points out the seriousness of the issue in a broader context on the basis of an analysis of the curricula of faculties of education. The main reason for the change in the professional preparation of teachers is seen in the insufficient reflection of the current needs of the contemporary society, both in the content and form of teacher education. The thesis is divided into four chapters: Contemporary context as a major imperative, The present state of the professional preparation of teachers, The objectives of the professional preparation of teachers in the contemporary context, and The main steps towards the realization of the new goals.
