Insurance of art

The diploma thesis is focused on insurance of art. In the first part of the thesis the chapters contain areas of art which are insured in practice. The paper analyzes insurance of cultural heritage, works of art, musical instruments and cultural events. Each chapter describes the specifics of the areas and the most used kinds of insurance, including practical examples. In the last chapter of the first part I outline the situation abroad and its comparison with the Czech market. As an example, a foreign insurance company has been selected by AXA Art. The second part is devoted to insurance of Czech Philharmonic. It contains links to the orchestra, the historic building and the gallery. Funded organizations of the Ministry of Culture occupy a significant portion of the paper. In this thesis, I do not mention insurance in the film industry.

Tax aspects of insurance theory and practice

State tax revenues are the main component of financial flows to the state budget, and therefore subject to taxation almost all human activity, including the insurance sector. The most important connection between taxes and insurance branch represents income taxes levied by insurance companies. But their activities are also subject to other taxes, all of them together influence the activities and decisions of insurance companies in the area of funding in order to reduce the levied tax. Taxes impact on decisions of citizens which they try to influence in favor of the products and services beneficial to their lives and the state. Among them also include the private life insurance. The impact of taxation on insurance companies, factors affecting the amount of tax levied by insurance companies and compare the tax liability between insurance companies, next the way of tax savings and tax relief for inhabitants connected with insurance products processed this work.

: Assistance services in the Czech insurance market

The thesis is focused on assistance in the Czech insurance market. The theoretical part presents more than twenty years history of assistance services and insurance issues to which they relate. It is a travel insurance, life and accident insurance, home insurance and motor vehicles insurance. A selected assistance company are also presented. The main part is devoted to the analysis offered assistance services for those types of insurance, focusing on its extent, lockouts and the specifics of the product. The four leading insurance companies were compared. The aim is to offer a comprehensive overview of the topic, and help you navigate the issue of assistance services. The last part deals with the future development of these services, but also of the domestic insurance industry.
