Tichý, J. The Political instability and the foreign direct investments in Bulgaria, Croatia and Romania. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2018 The bachelor thesis examines the influence of the political instability on foreign direct investments (FDI) in Bulgaria, Croatia and Romania as the newest members of the European Union. This thesis contains the description of political situation in these countries and the comparison with the evolution of FDI. The main focus is on parliamentary elections and changes in government coalitions. In the regression analysis there are used dummy variables to decide whether there is an influence of government instability on FDI. Violent forms of political instability are represented by State fragility index and Political stability and absence of violence/terrorism, which is one of the World Governance Indicators.
