Comprehensive urbanistic analysis of Obchodná Street in Bratislava with a theoretical vision of the development potential
Tichý, Jan ; Sátora, Josef (referee) ; Májek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis aims to create a complex urban analysis of the Obchodna street in the Bratislava city centre. It aims to identify the key problems and provide a conceptual solution for them as well. It focuses on general background analysis and planning documentation, as well as an analysis of the public space. A combination of distant and field research was used to gather the necessary data. All gathered data was subsequently processed and evaluated. Key problems and their solutions were defined on the basis of SWOT analysis. These solutions consist mostly of minor and easy changes, which can help to improve the public space in Obchodna and fulfil its potential.
Analýza modelu mechanismu palné zbraně
Tichý, Jiří ; Marcián, Petr (referee) ; Hadaš, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with creation of model of trigger and striking mechanism of revolver. For creation of model analytical approach was chosen. For solving of formed equations was used MATLAB. Correctness of created model was verified by comparison with values gained by measurement. The model was used for testing possible adjustments of mechanism’s parameters.
Batteries for medical applications
Pagáčová, Lenka ; Tichý, Jiří (referee) ; Kazda, Tomáš (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the influence of different carbon materials on the properties of Li-S accumulators. The theoretical part of the thesis describes primary and secondary electrochemical sources with a focus on medical applications. The second chapter deals individually with a lithium article. The main part of the thesis is the practical production of electrodes for Li-S accumulators using different types of carbon materials. The effects of these materials on the properties of accumulators are investigated to determine the most appropriate in terms of capacity and stability.
Možnosti recyklace Li-Ion akumulátorů
Skala, Kateřina ; Tichý, Jiří (referee) ; Kazda, Tomáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis is concerned with topic of lithium-ion batteries recycling. In this document the particular methods containing commercial used recycling processes or only laboratory used processes are discussed. Because rising amount of spent Li-ion accumulators is necessary find proper methods to recycle this type of accumulators. Also legislation question of this issue is important. In practical part is described procedure and results performed recycling method.
The Decentralisation of the Urban Planning Process Demonstrated on Example of the Agglomeration of Brno
Tichý, Jan ; Májek, Jan (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the determination of main changes in the urban planning process to allow for a better and more effective urban design. It applies the work of the Austrian School of Economics on urban planning and regulations. It critically reviews current system of urban planning, it's hierarchy, decision-making process, the role of public, and the role of private ownership and investment. It aims to offer a solution for an improvement in various fields of urban development. Results of this work are applied on an example of the agglomeration of Brno.
Post-processing of scanned documents
Tichý, Jan ; Mareš, Martin (advisor) ; Beneš, Jan (referee)
The subject of this work is to propose a method for post-processing of scanned documents containing text and non-text elements. In this work, this problem is analyzed and divided into smaller sub- problems, which are solved. Main problems we propose solutions to are pre-processing of an input image to suppress scanning defects such as poor contrast or rotation of an input image, segmentation to characters, lines and images and finally compression of output document by clustering text elements. We will implement this proposed method as a program processing scanned images into PDF document. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
The ionic liquids as the stationary phases in gas chromatography
Tichý, Jiří ; Kučera, Radim (advisor) ; Kastner, Petr (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Drug Control Student: Ji í Tichý Supervisor: doc. PharmDr. Radim Kučera, Ph.D. Title of diploma thesis: The ionic liquids as the stationary phases in gas chromatography The thesis aims to evaluate ionic liquids as stationary phases in gas chromatography on the basis of available information. Di- and tricationic phosphonium liquids as well as dicationic imidazolium-based ionic liquids with bis(trifluormethylsulfonyl)imide cation (NTf2 - ) are used commercially in gas chromatography. With the introduction of polyethylene glycol connecting chain into dicationic ionic liquids their thermal stability and selectivity increases. Extremely polar trigonal tricationic ionic liquids are suitable for separation of very polar compounds. The polymerisation of ionic liquids in order to increase their maximum temperatures, within which they are usable in gas chromatography, seems promising. Furthermore, the thesis compares commercially available ionic liquids with conventional polysiloxanes and polyethylenglene glycol stationary phases in the course of separation of various analytes. The stationary phases on the basis of ionic liquids in gas chromatography have lower column bleeding during the separation...
Qualitative properties of solutions to equations of fluid mechanics
Tichý, Jakub
Qualitative properties of solutions to equations of fluid mechanics Mgr. Jakub Tichý Supervisor: doc. Mgr. Petr Kaplický, Ph.D. Department: Department of Mathematical Analysis Abstract This thesis is devoted to the boundary regularity of weak solutions to the system of nonlinear partial differential equations describing incompressible flows of a certain class of generalized Newtonian fluids in bounded domains. Equations of motion and continuity equation are complemented with perfect slip boundary conditions. For stationary generalized Stokes system in Rn with growth condi- tion described by N-function Φ the existence of the second derivatives of velocity and their regularity up to the boundary are shown. For the same system of equa- tions integrability of velocity gradients is proven. Lq estimates are obtained also for classical evolutionary Stokes system via interpolation-extrapolation scales. Hölder continuity of velocity gradients and pressure is shown for evolutionary generalized Navier-Stokes equations in R2 . Keywords Generalized Stokes and Navier - Stokes equations, incompressible fluids, perfect slip boundary conditions, regularity up to the boundary
