Environmental grief among students of the Faculty of Education at the Charles University The abstract of the bachelot thesis This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of the environmental grief, which is a complex of emotions that can be caused by environmental changes and issues connected to them. The theoretical part aims to define and summarize this phenomenon, which can be traced already in the 1970's literature and has recently become a frequently discussed topic. In Czechia, this topic is dealt with by scholars such as Hana Librová, Jan Krajhanzl, Bohuslav Binka or Zdeňka Voštová. The practical part focuses on how students of the Pedagogical Faculty at Charles University approach this phenomenon. By the method of the questionnaire, it was found that they are aware of environmental changes and that the stance of almost half of the respondents regarding the future of the Earth is rather pessimistic. Furthermore, many respondents experience discomfort connected to uncertainty and worries, and one-third of respondents are even inclined to mild anxiety. Despite these aspects, the questionnaire research shows that most students don't adjust their lives to become more environmentally friendly.

Knowledge of primary school health education teachers about contraception

The diploma thesis Knowledge of health education teachers at primary schools about contraception deals in the theoretical part with the field of health education at universities in the Czech Republic with a focus on the implementation of a course with a sexual reproduction theme and the inclusion of the topic of contraception. The practical part is made up of the results of a questionnaire-based electronic survey investigating the knowledge of teachers on the topic of contraception. The main goal is to determine the knowledge of health education teachers teaching at the second level of elementary schools on the topic of contraception using the number of correct answers. The first sub-goal is to compare the knowledge of interviewed teachers with approval of the subject of health education and without approval of the subject of health education. The second partial goal is to compare the knowledge of novice teachers (less than 5 years of teaching experience) and teachers with more than 5 years of teaching experience. The third sub-goal is to find out the professional qualification and approval of health education teachers. Adolescents knowledge about sexually transmitted diseases

This bachelor thesis deals with knowledge of adolescents about the prevention and transmission of sexually transmitted diseases. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with adolescence, the medical field of venerology and veneral diseases. The aim was to examine the knowledge of chosen high school students. Then to compare whether it differs according to the region where the studied school is located or according to the type of school studied. Furthermore, evaluate the assumptions. The quantitative method was chosen as the research method, and a questionnaire was designed for the survey itself, which was sent to the respondents online. It contained 26 questions, open, closed and semi-open, that focused on the prevention and transmission of sexually transmitted diseases and education in high school. After evaluating all the answers from the research, it shows that the majority of students in chosen high school know how sexually transmitted diseases are transmitted and also how to prevent them. It was also discovered that the region in which the selected school is located does not play a role in the difference in knowledge, but the type of school studied does. Nutrition for elite female athletes

This thesis explores the problematics of nutrition of elite female athletes from aerobic club BM Fitness Havlíčkův Brod. The thesis is aimed on the girls between ages 8 to 16 years old, which corresponds to three age categories. Based on the information gained the thesis is trying to learn the indivdual eating habbits of the the sports girls and compares the differences and similarities in nutrition between the different age groups. In the same time the thesis is trying to learn if the sports girls are eating in accordance with recomendations of the nutritionist and trainer. The thesis is divided into two parts; theoretical and practical. The theoretical part explores the history of sport nutrition, the basic parts of human nutrition, fluid intake, energy metabolism, and timing of meals according to the sport done. Part of the thesis is aimed at younger school age, then middle school age, then at teenagers. The last chapter closely descibres aerobic and fitness. The second half of the thesis consists of a practical part which was based on data gained by half structured interviews. This part is aimed on describing the individual eating habits of sports girls. Comparison of eating habits of middle and older school age girls at selected primary school

This bachelor thesis is focused on the eating habits of girls in elementary school. The goal was to find out whether there are certain differences in the way they eat between middle- aged and older school-age girls at a selected primary school. Whether their eating habits differ due to their age. The sub-targets therefore focus on how many times a day the girls eat, if they have a cooked diet each day, whether they eat breakfast and, if so, how regularly. The theoretical part is devoted to information about nutrition, nutritional components and nutritional value of food. Subsequently, it focuses on the distribution of school age, the main principles of a child's diet, important components of the diet and the common mistakes related to the overall diet of children. Last but not least, the most common problems related to eating habits, such as eating disorders or, conversely, overweight or obesity, are also mentioned. The practical part contains a questionnaire, which was attended by a total of 132 girls. In particular, 66 girls of middle school age and 66 girls of older school age. Knowledge of lower secondary selected school pupils about dental hygiene

The bachelor's thesis deals with the knowledge of lower secondary students of a selected school about dental hygiene. The theoretical part is focused mainly on the prevention of dental caries and dental aids. There is also described the anatomy of the oral cavity, the morphology of the teeth, the structure of the teeth, the structure of the teeth as a whole and the most common diseases caused by insufficient or incorrectly performed oral hygiene. The practical part is mediated by a questionnaire survey, which took place in the 9th grade of primary school in Havlíčkův Brod. The aim was to find out what knowledge the students have about dental hygiene, dental aids and teeth in relation to the subjects of health education and natural history. The second partial goal was to find out what is their most common source of information about dental hygiene. The results of the questionnaire survey showed that the pupils of this school have a satisfactory knowledge of dental hygiene, but the anatomical knowledge about the teeth and the problems caused by the insufficient hygiene of the oral cavity is less satisfactory. Teacher professions from the point of view of pupils, parents and of teacher selected primary school

This diploma thesis brings information about the perception of the teaching profession by secondary school students, their parents, and teachers of a selected primary school. The aim of the work is to find out with the help of questionnaires, how pupils and their parents subjectively see and perceive teachers and how the teachers who teach pupils themselves see their profession as a teacher. In the theoretical part, I deal with the historical development of education and the teaching profession in our territory. I also deal with the characteristics of the teaching profession by clarifying the very concept, personality traits, and typology of the teacher's personality. This section also includes chapters on the competence of the teacher, his authority and motivation to choose the teaching profession. In the last part, I deal with the current form of the teaching profession in primary school, the requirements for the profession, and including selected problems of our education. In the practical part, I used a questionnaire survey to evaluate the data obtained by individual respondents among students, parents, and teachers and then I analyzed the data of individual groups of respondents and drew a conclusion.
