Requirements for manager in the construction engineering

This diploma thesis is focused to requirements for manager in the construction engineering. The theoretical part briefly describes the management and its role in the construction. After that, the work devotes itself to the requirements, functions and techniques of construction manager. The empirical part is looking into the establishment of hypotheses which were either confirmed or disproved in a questionnaire research, concentrated on construction companies and senior students in the field of Management building at the Faculty of Civil Engineering. One of the empirical part is analysis of jobs as a manager in the construction industry. This research is enriched by guided interviews, which is followed by conclusions and subsequent recommendations for both civil society, students and also for the faculty.

This thesis describes the design of a cogeneration unit, its design and operational optimization. The theoretical part explains the principles of cogeneration and the associated advantages and disadvantages, also describes the different types of units and their main components and their suitability for use in various types of buildings. The second part of this thesis deals with a design of cogeneration unit in selected building. Design of cogeneration unit consists of evaluation of the object itself, through the selection of suitable units, optimalization of a selected range of cogeneration units, to the final financial analysis. The part of the thesis are also project drawings, which shows the current status of the heating system and subsequently scheme with the possible involvement of cogeneration units in the existing system.

This diploma thesis deals with issues of marketing planning in a construction company. Theoretical basis is then applied to a certain construction company which is KALAB-stavebni firma company. The thesis includes strengths and weaknesses of the company and a specific marketing plan for the following year.

The aim of this Bachelor work is to outline a proposal for a plumbing system in the administrative premises of ESL plc, including a proposal for the usage of rainwater and greywater. Owing to the different attributes of rainwater and greywater, and the different issues surrounding them, the theoretical part is divided into two sections. In each section the attributes of the water, its quality, history and current methods of dealing with it are described. The practical part deals with proposals for domestic water supply and sewerage. The practical part includes a proposal for the location and size of storage tanks and wastewater treatment plants used for treating greywater. An essential element of this part is to equate the calculations with the subsequent design.The final section of this work is a project which includes technical drawings.
