Nursing process hemodialysed patient
Šmajda, Dávid ; Kordulová, Pavla (advisor) ; Maffei Svobodová, Ludmila (referee)
Chronic renal failure is often asymptomatic and painless. Many sick people realize too late that something is happening with their body or kidney function. In renal failure, a complex metabolic disorder arises and water and electrolyte imbalances occur. Unfortunately, this phenomenon is irreversible and a large number of patients must subsequently undergo hemodialysis treatment, which only substitutes kidney work, but does not heal the kidneys themselves. Hemodialysis is currently one of the most widespread methods of renal replacement. Thanks to continuous technological development, it extends the life of patients by several decades and thus improves their lives with chronic kidney disease. The bachelor thesis describes the issue of nursing care of patients included in the hemodialysis program. In the theoretical part of the thesis I describe the issue of chronic renal insufficiency. Furthermore, I focus on the elimination methods of this disease and the necessary vascular approaches for hemodialysis for these patients. In my work I also describe the specifics of nursing care for patients in the hemodialysis program. I have elaborated the thesis on the basis of searching for relevant sources for the given issue. I drew on resources from the National Medical Library, where literature searches were...

Mikšíčková, Věra ; Vrábelová, Petra (advisor) ; Maffei Svobodová, Ludmila (referee)
INTRODUCTION: One of the most frequent causes of sudden death in Europe is a sudden cardiac arrest. First above all providing urgent cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is necessary for rescue of life. One of preconditions of successful resuscitation is its early start and knowledge of basic techniques. The level of knowledge of urgent resuscitation techniques, its proper performance, skillfulness and willingness of non-professional rescuers can decide about next life of people affected by sudden cardiac arrest. Every minute that the resuscitation is not performed a chance of survival of people affected with sudden cardiac arrest decreases by 10 - 12%. GOALS AND METHODOLOGY: The main research problem was an evaluation of the level of knowledge of techniques of cardio-pulmonary resuscitation with public in South Bohemia. The next goal was to map the interest of the public in South Bohemia in education in CPR. For working out of the empirical part the method of quantitative research was chosen in the form of a questionnaire which I made. The questionnaire contained 35 questions. The research sample was made of nonselected public in South Bohemia and the choice of informants was random. The collection of data was performed by direct questioning of passers-by in streets, shopping centres, in towns and...

Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD) is very rare disease (estimated incidence is one case for one million people per year), which nature is uncontrollable reproduction of infectious prion protein in brain tissue. Petruš, Michal ; Hladká, Petra (advisor) ; Maffei Svobodová, Ludmila (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with non-invasive and invasive monitoring of the cardiovascular system, focusing on non-medical health workers. The aim of the work was to analyze the knowledge of non-medical health workers in selected areas of cardiovascular monitoring. The data was obtained in the form of a non- standardized questionnaire created by myself. For the research were selected non-medical health workers working in Prague hospitals in coronary units and postoperative cardiac surgery units. The total number of respondents who participated in the research was 108. The results of the survey revealed that non-medical staff are relatively well versed in the issue of cardiovascular monitoring. A rather surprising finding was that most respondents did not use foreign literature to study cardiovascular monitoring. As part of the comparison of the respondents, the better knowledge of cardiovascular monitoring was presented in non-medical staff of the Department of Postoperative Cardiac Surgery. Compared in relation to the highest educational attainment, university graduates have demonstrated a higher level of knowledge than others. Based on achieved data, it was created a study text for newcomers, which contains basic information for better orientation in the given issue. keywords: cardiovascular...

This ceremony is considered to be a ritualized phenomenon, wherein coexisting of emotions and ritual elements takes place. It describes the importance and function of a ritual during specific social actions. The thesis substantiates the process of ritualism and designs a typology of goal celebrations. Thus created categorization is formed by three main components of celebrating - ritualism, emotions and dramaturgic performance. The whole thesis is conceived as a dramaturgical analysis of social action. This approach emphasizes individual actors (or teams), who play specific roles during goal celebrating in order to present their own self and to make an impression on the other actors in the performance. The thesis is inspired by an interpretation of dramaturgical analysis according to Erving Goffman. His book 'The Presentation of Self in Everyday Life' is one of the key sources for the thesis.
