Nezdarová, Barbora ; Svobodová, Irena (advisor) ; Kuhnová, Věra (referee)
Purpose of this thesis is to determine how affects has basic swimming training on mobility and flexibility on elementary school children. Use the appropriate tests mobility and flexibility. I examinand how is mobility changing. Testing will take twice. The first test will take at the beginning of swimming training. The second test will take place at the end of swimming training, the last hour. Then I measured results are compared and evaluated. The theoretical part is about characteristics young school age and to explain and clarify the basic concepts. The experimental part describes the methods and the results are verbal evaluation.
The effect of melatonin on rhythmic ATP release from organotypic cultures of the rat SCN
Dvořáková, Barbora ; Svobodová, Irena (advisor) ; Jelínková, Dana (referee)
The rhythm of ATP accumulation is an one of examples of circadian rhythmicity which is demonstrated across the animal kingdom. It is located in the suprachiasmatic nucleus of hypothalamus, which is a centre of circadian clock and imposes rhytmicity on a whole organism. The question concering the ATP rhythm in an organotypic culture and the impact of melatonin on it has been discussing in this thesis. The synthesis of melatonin is regulated by the activity of the SCN and the hormon itself is known for its feedback on the SCN and a capability of regulating it. It has been shown that ATP rhythm is significantly inhibited under the constant control of melatonin and this inhibition is dose-dependent on a scale of 0,1-10 nM. In case of one-time applied melatonin in 4 p.m. there is no reduction in the accumulation of extracellular ATP but there is a phase shift in ATP rhythm. It has also been shown that ATP rhythm is inhibited and desynchronized under the control of tetrodotoxin which blocks an electric activity of neurons. These results show that melatonin is capable of inducing phase delay of ATP rhythm in SCN and reducing an amount of extracellular ATP, that the effect of melatonin is probably mediated by specific receptors and lastly that ATP rhythm is a result of cell-cell interaction between neurons...
Comparison to teachingmethods in differen schwimming schools or centers.
Češnerová, Markéta ; Svobodová, Irena (advisor) ; Kuhnová, Věra (referee)
The topic of this thesis is the comparison of individual educational methods at swimming schools. Its main focus is on the preschool children group. In the theoretical part I will be focusing on the characteristics of swimming and its significance for the human body. The focus on the preschool children group consist of covering the various methods of swimming techniques from a teaching standpoint, usage of swimming tools and their age peculiarities. The practical part of the thesis will cover the differences between educational methods at three different swimming schools with the use of swimming tools and the evaluation of the qualification level of swimming instructors. Vavrošová, Karolína ; Svobodová, Irena (advisor) ; Kuhnová, Věra (referee)
This thesis is aimed on the topic of swimming training on the first grade of primary school. The theoretical part is processed according to available resources, history and importance of swimming, characterized by basic swimming training of children at school age and younger. The practical part is focused on the research sample, a swimming schools and children who participated in basic swimming training. Following sections of this thesis are analyzing the research sample, which consists of swimming instructors in selected schools. This research sample was examined in terms of detection effectiveness and impact of swimming training on the results of graduate (or maturity) of swimming courses. This thesis map the swimming training of primary school students, especially in terms of periodicity and teaching effectiveness. The aim of the thesis is to elaborate a comprehensive overview of the current situation in basic swimming training.

Muscle imbalances and their compensation by swimming for children at school age
Kofránková, Michaela ; Hronzová, Marie (advisor) ; Svobodová, Irena (referee)
The master thesis focuses on muscle imbalances occuring in a increasing number of children and its reparation by swimming and exercising in an aquatic environment. The thesis contains two sections - theoretical and practical. The teoretical part informs about history and conseguence of swimming, influence of aquatic environment on human organism, young school age children and muscle imbalances. The practical part fuceses on the defined hypothesis confirmation or falsification and on answering the questions of the research. The methods used, are questioning (questionnaire and interwiev) and observation. The disquisition took a place in Pražačka swimming pool, primary school Dědina and primary school Kavčí hory. There were 13 children, 66 parents and 112 school employees involved. It was detected that a large number of children has at least one muscle imbalance After the four month reserach it was confirmed that the aquatic environment has a positive influence on posture and major part of the children group has improved their swimming skills. An important finding is that almost all primary schools we were working with has swimming included in theis curriculum.
