Respective authorities in the construction procedure
Strnadová, Karolína ; Vedral, Josef (advisor) ; Korbel, František (referee)
Respective authorities in the construction procedure Abstract The topic of this thesis is the status of the respective authorities in construction proceedings. Its aim is to introduce the reader to the regulation of respective authorities in the Building Act and other related laws, then draw models of organisation of the respective authorities in the construction procedure from different legal regulations and finally find a compromise model which enables the respective authorities to perform their function as protectors of the public interest effectively, without compromising the speed of the construction process itself. In addition to the introduction and conclusion, the thesis contains four parts that logically follow each other. The first part is devoted to the construction procedure in general, according to the valid and effective Building Act No. 183/2006 Coll., and deals in more detail with the participants in the construction procedure, the submission of an application for a building permit, the commencement of the construction procedure, the objections of the participants in the construction procedure and the building permit itself. The second part deals generally with the respective authorities, their activities, their comments and judicial protection against those comments. Given the complexity of...
Induction of testicular stem cell differentiation in mammals.
Strnadová, Karolína ; Tlapáková, Tereza (advisor) ; Krulová, Magdaléna (referee)
Stem cells represent a unique cell source with potential usage in regenerative medicine and organ transplantation. As is known, spermatogonial stem cells are unipotent giving rise to a single cell type, which is sperm. Pluripotency was achieved by isolation and cultivation of these testicular stem cells in a number of researches. Testicular pluripotent stem cells differentiated in conditions in vitro to derivatives of all three germ layers identically as embryonic stem cells. The aim of this thesis is to characterize stem cells and summarize the findings of testicular stem cell research. The main focus of this thesis is on studies of cultivated pluripotent stem cells derived from mouse and human testes and their ability to differentiate under determinate conditions into the cells of ectoderm, mesoderm and endoderm.
Phenotype of melanocytes under physiological and pathological conditions
Strnadová, Karolína
In addition to the dominant keratinocytes and fibroblasts, melanocytes are also indispensable representatives of skin cell populations. Melanocytes are pigment cells whose primary function is to produce the pigment melanin, which is important for protecting keratinocytes from harmful ultraviolet radiation. Excessive exposure to this radiation is a risk factor for the development of skin tumours, including malignant melanoma of the skin, in which pathological transformation of melanocytes into melanoma cells occurs. The presented thesis focuses on 4 thematic areas associated mainly with malignant melanoma. In the first thematic area, the increasing incidence of malignant skin melanoma is associated with the ageing of the population. One of the reasons seems to be the more frequent occurrence of proinflammatory setting in the ageing organism. It prepares a suitable environment for tumour development. The second thematic area focuses on new approaches that could expand the range of diagnostic methods for the early detection of malignant melanoma. The first approach methodically uses the detection of proinflammatory molecules in the patient's serum. Higher serum levels of IL-6 and IL-8 correlate with an unfavourable patient prognosis. The second approach is based on the possibility of detecting a...

Translations of Czech Literature in Mexico and Translations of Mexican Literature into Czech
Na základě těchto metod práce představuje korpus 41 překladů vydaných v Mexiku, včetně "dovezených" překladů a reedic, a přináší kompletní informaci o každém přeloženém titulu. Následně práce aktualizuje korpus mexické literatury přeložené do češtiny a snaží se interpretovat a porovnat vývoj česko- mexických a mexicko-českých překladů z diachronního, literárně-druhového...
Translations of Czech Literature in Mexico and Translations of Mexican Literature into Czech
Strnadová, Karolína ; Mračková Vavroušová, Petra (advisor) ; Charvátová, Anežka (referee)
The objective of this paper is to create a corpus of translations of Czech literature published in the form of book in Mexico until 2019 included and to describe how they were received. The aim of the paper is to answer questions about which Czech literature was published in Mexico, when and where it was translated, and who originated the translations. The theoretical part of the paper presents Czech-Mexican relations as they evolved in the sociocultural polysystem of the 20th century. The paper further uses the theoretical framework of the praxeology of translation and the translator's role, it explains the phenomenon of direct and indirect translation, it discusses the importance of paratexts for the study of translations, it explains the specificity of producing translations for the Spanish-speaking countries as well as it outlines the issue of translating from small cultures. Historiographical research, paratextual discourse analysis and oral history were used as the methodological core of this paper. Using these methods, the paper presents a corpus of 39 translated Czech literary works published in Mexico, including "imported" translations and re-editions, supplying comprehensive details on every one of them. At the end, the paper updates the corpus of Mexican literature translated into Czech...
Induction of Xenopus tropicalis testicular stem cell differentiation in vitro.
Strnadová, Karolína ; Tlapáková, Tereza (advisor) ; Javorková, Eliška (referee)
Origin of mammalian somatic cells in the developing testes remains unclear. This origin could be explained by established cell culture derived from testes of Xenopus tropicalis juvenile male. The expression profile of the cell culture showed transcription of some pluripotency genes, somatic Sertoli and peritubular myoid cell markers and last but not least, the mesenchymal stem cell markers. Conversely, germ cell genes were downregulated. Immunocytochemical analysis revealed expression of Vimentin, Sox9 and α-smooth muscle actin, indicating that the testicular cell culture is a common mesenchymal progenitor of the Sertoli and peritubular myoid cells and that the cell culture did not arise from spermatogonial stem cells undergoing incomplete reprogramming in vitro. Testing of X. tropicalis cell culture during induction of differentiation in vitro revealed that these cells are probably multipotent with the ability to differentiate into adipocytes, chondroblasts and osteoblasts. The ability to derive multipotent stem cells from the juvenile testes opens new possibilities of using these cells for biotechnology and medicine. Keywords: Testicular somatic cells, Xenopus tropicalis, progenitor, mesenchymal stem cells, induction of differentiation, multipotency
