Methods of Stakeholder Identification in Evaluation

This text deals with the issue of identification of stakeholders in the evaluation. The concept of stakeholders is defined first, and the characteristics of the evaluation approaches are presented. Later is presented the position of the world evaluation societies on the stakeholders. There are four methods of stakeholder identification: 1) Brainstorming, 2) General list, 3) Questions and 4) The snowball method. Own research focuses on methods of identification of stakeholders in evaluations in the Czech Republic. Data sources are evaluations of OP and ROP programs. Secondary and content data analysis was used to analyse the data. The result of the research is that specific methods of stakeholder identification have not been applied in OP and ROP evaluations. Based on the results of the research, a new procedure for identification of stakeholders in the evaluation was formulated.
Annual Fairs

The topic of my thesis is the annual fairs in the Czech Republic with the primary focus on the tradesmen of the traditional craft goods. The thesis is divided in two parts - theoretical and analytical. In the first part, I concentrate on the characteristics of the annual fairs in connection to the research that has been already done on this topic and then I describe a brief historical context of the annual fair.Subsequently, I explicate the methodology of my research. In the research I opted for the method of analysis of documents, the semi- structured interview with the tradesmen of the traditional craft goods and the informal interview. I analyzed 12 websites of annual markets and managed to interview 13 respondents. The second part of my thesis concentrates on the analysis of the respondents' interviews and to the analysis of documents.On the basis of the data analysis I characterized the annual markets based on their traditions, holding period, the availability of the Internet and type organizer. The topic of my thesis is the annual fairs in the Czech Republic with the primary focus on the tradesmen of the traditional craft goods. The thesis is divided in two parts - theoretical and analytical. In the first part, I concentrate on the characteristics of the annual fairs in connection to the research that has been already done on this topic. Subsequently, I explicate the methodology of my research. In the research I opted for the method of participant observation and the semi-structured interview with the tradesmen of the traditional craft goods. I have attended two annual traditional fairs of crafted goods and managed to interview eight respondents. The second part of my thesis concentrates on the analysis of the respondents' interviews and the notes I have acquired during the stage of observation. On the basis of the data analysis I have identified the primary factors influencing the fairs' success rate from the tradesman viewpoint.The results at hand indicate the importance of the atmosphere during the fair, the quality of the accompanying programme, the selection of offered goods and the frequency with which the fairs are organized.
