Martinková, Michaela ; Stolz, Daniel (advisor) ; Popelka, Miroslav (referee)
The presented diploma thesis presents the procedures and results of the analysis, carried out on an unpublished set of 3158 pieces of chipped industry, which has not yet been part of the rescue archaeological research, carried out on the area of the D11 highway near Lochenice (Hradec Králové district). The examined area had the designation D11-06-6B within the sectional division. The neolithic site Tuchlovice, distr. of Kladno
Knotová, Hana ; Popelka, Miroslav (advisor) ; Stolz, Daniel (referee)
The submitted work deals with processing of primarily neolithic settlement material from the archaeological research in Tuchlovice cadaster. The research led by M. Buchvaldek took place in 1960. The excavated settlement was dated to the III. degree of the Linear Pottery culture and to the II.-III. degree of the Stroked Pottery culture. One object belonged to jordanov culture period. Continuity of habitation cannot be proved, which may be caused by the limited scale of the research that couldn't explore the whole settlement. On the contrary we must admit the possibility that presented site formed part of a larger neolithic settlement area together with settlements explored earlier in the southwestern direction. Key words: Neolithic - eneolithic - Tuchlovice - settlement - central Bohemia
Neolithic and aeneolithic settlement in Hořovice basin with focus on stone intrustry
Stolz, Daniel ; Popelka, Miroslav (advisor) ; Pavlů, Ivan (referee) ; Zápotocká, Marie (referee)
The study of a Neolithic and Aeneolithic settlement in individual areas forms a substantial part of a complex study of a wide range of related issues regarding the overall settlement location and its history, its density, its relation to natural environment, and its relation to previous and later periods. It can also provide insights into stone industry distribution and the process of communication and contacts between neighbouring and distant regions, mining areas, the size of cultivated areas, etc. Unfortunately, until the 1980s, the study ofNeolithic and Aeneolithic settlements was a rather neglected field in the context of Czech archaeology and even since then iťs stili very rarely used for a complex study of multiple issues. The aim of my thesis is to fulfill this "gap" by suggesting possible solution to the above mentioned problems. The selected settlement area is Hořovice basin. The sources gained from intensive archaeological field work carried out in the 1980s and from a detailed field prospection ofthe whole area belong among the richest collections of data collected for a specific region in the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part focuses on the largest salvage excavation in Hořovice area carried out in Žebrák in 2000. 47 features dated into the II and III grade of...

The dispersion of chipped and polished stone artefacts in time and space was studied on the basis of available literature. The first part of this work presents existing knowledge about spreading specific types of lithic raw materials. The second part introduces sites from different federal states with finds of chipped and polished stone industry from which was it possible to determine the composition of lithic raw materials collections. The database is part of this work and includes catalogue of sites.
