Determination of physical-mechanical properties of rock for the purpose of rock mass stress calculation based on CCBO probes measurements
Staš, Lubomír ; Waclawik, Petr ; Souček, Kamil ; Vavro, Martin
To measure the primary stress of the rock mass, the overcoring method was used using a compact conical probe CCBO. A total of four stress measurements were performed in a metamorphic rock mass formed by biotite gneiss, in a horizontal borehole marked VRT-H. For the purposes of calculating the size of the main rock mass stress components, it is necessary to know the basic physico-mechanical properties of the rock mass at the measurement site. For this reason, test specimens were prepared from the drill core, which were subsequently tested on the ZWICK 1494 mechanical press. The research report describes the samples, methodological procedures and results of physico-mechanical properties.

The measurement of the stress state of the rock mass was performed on the 20th level of the liquidated uranium mine Rožná. This site was selected as one of the possible test sites of the planned geotechnical and geophysical methods. As part of the measurements, a series of four measurements of the 3D stress tensor were carried out within the sub-horizontal (approx. + 5 °) borehole with a diameter of 76 mm. To measure the primary stress of the rock mass, the overcoring method was used using a compact conical probe, developed at the Institute of Geonics AS CR, v.v.i. in collaboration with the Japanese University of Kumamoto under the original name Compact Conical ended Borehole Overcoring method (CCBO). The research report summarizes the results of the performed measurements.

For designing precisely the reinforcement of mine gate and reinforcing underground structures in general, knowing stress and deformation states in the rock massive in the immediate vicinity of these mine works as precisely as possible is absolutely decisive. In order to verify the rock mass stress state and its changes induced by longwall mining, the monitoring of rock mass stress changing in connection with the mine out of the coal seam No. 501, longwall face No. II/501/C in the Mine Staszic-Wujek, Poland, was suggested. The aim of the contractual research was the realisation and interpretation of the rock stress state monitoring using the CCBO (Compact Conical ended Borehole Overcoring method) and CCBM (Compact Conical ended Borehole Monitoring method) probes in the forefield of mentioned longwall face within geotechnical station. To verify stress monitoring, the survey of the state of the longwall gate was carried out using a pulse 3D scanner. The purpose was to capture deformation changes ahead of the advancing longwall face, specifically, at five stages in the ± 20 m section on each side from the installed geotechnical station.

Structural-geological analysis, i.e. fracturing assessment of the walls of geotechnical boreholes (CIS12, CIS14, CIS31 and CIS37) within the Ore Zone lithium exploratory area was carried out on the basis of optical (OPTV) and acoustic televiewer (HiRAT) records evaluation. HiRAT and OPTV probes are part of the Robertson Geologging logging equipment. The apparatus has an electric winch with a four-core logging cable, which transmits the data recorded by the probes via a data logger to a computer. The spatial data obtained from interpretation of the geotechnical boreholes records were structurally analysed. The submitted research report comprehensively summarises the findings obtained from the structural mapping of geotechnical boreholes. On the basis measured data the rock mass quality evaluation of boreholes walls were additionally done. The complex data have been allowed very precise analysis of rock mass structural conditions, which are necessary for construction geomechanical model.

On the basis of a contract, the Institute of Geonics of the CAS realized repeated convergence measurement of selected part of the mining roads and appropriate part of vent shaft on the 3rd floor in the vicinity of the ČSM Sever vent shaft. The main reason was to capture spatio-temporal and dynamic changes in relation to the mining of the coalface No. 200 200/4. A section of the embankment of the 3rd floor of the vent shaft was selected for the convergence measurement. The work can be divided into 3 separate tasks - terrestrial laser scanning of the vent shaft from level of the 3rd floor, pilot laser scanning of the vent shaft from the skip elevator and evaluation of seismological activity registered during the mining of the coalface No. 292 200/4.
Solution of a unified register of data bases for the locality of a slope landslide area at VD Šance Řečica
Kajzar, Vlastimil ; Staš, Lubomír
The subject of the assignment was the requirement for the design and implementation of a solution for a unified register of data bases for the locality of a slope landslide area at VD Šance Řečica, using database technologies.\nThe current state of registration of documents for the slope area of Řečica is not entirely optimal. Information on individual documents is not centralized, but is distributed in various forms in many often very difficult to access and searchable places. In this state, there is a very difficult search for relevant information, or their redundancy, which leads to increasing demands on the required operating time and technical resources. Also, analyzes of a different character performed on an incomplete set of input data can often lead to misleading results.\nThe solution to this situation is the current transition to the use of database technologies, which in this respect brings, in addition to the basic function of comprehensive register of data, a number of other indisputable advantages.\nThe newly created relational database counts 879 records at the current time, thematically divided into 7 attribute tables. Individual records are formed by a combination of text, numerical, time and automatically calculated items (so-called attributes). The key registered items are data in the form of a hypertext link, enabling convenient access to all specific data bases of the unified register.
Elevation measurements in the northern area of mining areas Doubrava and Karvina Mines I in 2020
Kajzar, Vlastimil ; Staš, Lubomír ; Foldyna, Josef
In the northern area of the Doubrava and Karviná Mines I mining districts on the border of the cadastral district Dětmarovice and Doubrava, mining operations are underway. For this reason, in order to identify possible mining effects on the surface and surface objects, the stabilized points in this area are surveyed regularly twice a year. Since 2014 the Institute of Geonics AS CR, v.i., Ostrava has been selected as the contractor of these works. In June and November 2020, the surveying stages planned for this year were carried out, during which altogether 4 interconnected leveling routes, which are formed by these points, were carried out.
Deformometric and leveling measurements in the cadastral area of Dětmarovice village in 2020
Kajzar, Vlastimil ; Staš, Lubomír ; Foldyna, Josef
Institute of Geonics AS CR, v.v.i. in Ostrava was in 2001 asked by the ČSA Mine, in connection with the considered underground mining of coal reserves and its possible impact on the cadastral district of Dětmarovice, to assess the possible effects of undermining on slope stability in selected parts of the cadastral district of Dětmarovice. Mining results in, among other things, surface subsidence, which, given the existing terrain morphology in the cadastral area, has raised concerns as to whether these subsidence will further induce slope movements. Thus, in November 2001, a monitoring monitoring network with four individual profiles was established in the area. On these lines it was recommended to perform deformometric (length) and leveling (height) measurements at the same intervals. The first of a pair of planned deformometric and height measurements in 2020 was carried out in May, the second during October.
