An assessment of a bridge construction on a dynamic load

Diploma thesis deas with static and dynamic analysis of a steel arch footbridge. The footbridge structure 3D model was created in program ANSYS 12.1 and afterwards were made static and modal analysis on this computational model. Based on the results of~modal analysis was applied to design of dynamic wind loading on the model according to norms ČSN EN. The effects of this burden has been calculated steady response at resonance from harmonic analysis according to ČSN P EN 1991-2-4. To report according to ČSN EN 1991-1-4 was designed substitute quasistatic forces corresponding loads of wind on the construction and for evaluation was used static analysis.

Evaluation of fracture tests of selected concrete specimens

This bachelor thesis deals with evaluation of fracture tests of selected concrete specimens. It is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical section describes fracture parameters, three point bending test and effective crack model. It explains evaluation process of the expriments step by step, too. The practical part contains charts with the resulting values of fracture parameters. The StiCrack software was used for analysis of fracture tests. The result of this thesis is comparison of influence the thength classes of concrete, age of specimens and place of ripen on the values of fracture parameters.

Assessing Selected Indicators Using Statistical Methods

The bachelor thesis is focused on evaluation of the financial situation of the company and the prediction of the potential development with the help of selected indicators of financial analysis and the use of statistical methods. The first part focuses on the theoretical background. In the second part - practical, there are selected indicators of financial analysis and statistical methods such as time series analysis and regression analysis. After that, on the basis of the results obtained at the end of the work, suggestions are suggested to improve the current situation of the company.

Cleaning library documents with a two-phase spray.

The cleaning of particles from library materials (paper, textile, and collagen materials) using a high-speed CO2 snow jet was investigated. The measurements included\ndetermination of the cleaning efficiency, and evaluation of possible adverse effects. The method was compared with nitrogen jet cleaning. The results showed that the CO2 snow\njet is able to effectively remove particles from the surfaces. Any adverse effects were not observed at paper and textile. However, application on collagen materials caused\ndegradation of the surface.

The aim of this methodology was to create a set of procedures and recommendations for library and archive staff or restorers, using which it is possible to remove dust particles from the surface of paper, textiles and collagen materials using the two-phase spray of CO2 snow particles in the carrier gas. The result is an effective and safe alternative to existing cleaning methods. Furthermore, the research aimed to compare the results of this type of treatment with commonly used mechanical cleaning procedures for library collections and archival documents and to analyse in detail the potential use of the new method.

Methodology for removing dust particles from the surface of paper, collagen materials and textiles using the TEA CO2 laser.

The aim of this methodology was to develop a set of procedures and recommendations for cleaning materials frequently represented in library collections, using which it will be possible to use pulse infrared TEA CO2 laser to remove dust particles from their surface. The basic requirement is to effectively remove surface contamination without damaging the treated material. For this purpose, a threshold irradiation intensity is established at which the ablation of the surface dirt begins and a threshold irradiation intensity at which the degradation of the library materials. The result is an effective and safe alternative to existing cleaning methods. Furthermore, the aim was to compare the results of this type of treatment of library materials with traditional mechanical cleaning procedures and thus analyse the possible potential of the new method.\n\n

Effect of probiotic bacteria Lactobacillus paracasei subsp. paracasei on the development of acute colitis in BALB/c mice.

Inflammatory bowel disease - ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease - are chronic relapsing intestinal disorders of unknown etiology. Acute ulcerative colitis was induced in BALB/c mice by 3 % dextran sulfate sodium (DSS) administrated in drinking water for 5 days. The effect of Lactobacillus paracasei subsp. paracasei RL14-P, a bacterium with potential probiotic influence, on the development of inflammation was evaluated. Lactobacillus was administrated intragastrically to mice on days 1, 4 and 8 and the administration continued for next 5 days during DSS treatment. Control groups received instead of lactobacillus MRSC medium or phosphate-buffered saline according to the same schedule. Clinical symptoms such as diarrhoea, rectal bleeding and loss in body weight were evaluated daily. Cytokine secretion (IL-6, IL-10 and TNF-α) was determined in supernatants of 48 h cultivated splenocytes, mesenteric lymph node lymphocytes and colon pieces by ELISA. The impairment of colon descendens was evaluated histologically. Lactobacillus paracasei subsp. paracasei RL14-P administrated mice remained healthy without signs of the intestinal inflammation. Methodology of cleaning paper, textiles and collagen materials using thr two-phase spray of CO2 snow particles in the carrier gas stream

Cílem této metodiky bylo vytvořit soubor postupů a doporučení pro pracovníky knihoven a archivů či pro restaurátory, s jejichž využitím je možné pomocí dvoufázového spreje sněhových částic CO2 v nosném plynu odstraňovat prachové částice z povrchu papíru, textilu a kolagenních materiálů. Výsledkem je efektivní a bezpečná alternativa ke stávajícím metodám čištění.
