Pipe organs´ research on selected area in Slovakia
Slovík, Juraj ; TŮMA, Jaroslav (advisor) ; ČERNÝ, Pavel (referee)
This work contains an overview of the history of documentation of pipe organs in Slovakia. I deal with data processed from my own surveys. I create tables and statistics based on a systematic survey on the territory of the selected archives of the Archdiocese of Košice. I provide a comparison of the facts which can be found in the corporate catalogs of the Angster and Gebrüder Rieger organ works. The results presented in this thesis are part of a long-term survey conducted in Slovakia since 1998.
Psalms in catholic liturgy (Harmonious accompaniment Howeard Hughes´s tunes for organ and outline of interpretation)
Slovík, Juraj ; TŮMA, Jaroslav (advisor) ; POPELKA, Josef (referee)
This work is concerned with the topic of psalms. I put here the structure and classification of psalms according to their content. The focus is on a creation of a harmonious accompaniment when singing psalms. There are used Howard Hughes´ tunes as melodies. I also state in this work existing literature in Slovakia that deals with already musically arranged psalms. The aim of this work is to offer an alternative accompaniment for singing psalms that can be used everyday in liturgy. I formulate here an outline of interpretation as well.
