Urbánek, Michal ; Píška, Miroslav (referee) ; Sliwková, Petra (advisor)
The master’s thesis is focused on the design of production technology and the choice of machines and tools to achieve the required accuracy according to the drawing documentation. During the design of production options, the advantages and disadvantages of gear machining variants were described. In the theoretical part, the technologies of the proposed operations were described, such as turning, milling of gears in a rolling method, shaving and grinding. In the practical part, the production itself is described in all sixteen operations that were needed to produce the part. Instructions and tables of measured dimensions were created for each machine operation. The economic evaluation summarizes material costs, machine and preparation times depending on the size of the production batch.
An effective cutting tool for shearing of spring wires
Smékal, Jan ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
The goal of this master thesis was to propose modification of a cutting tool for shearing of spring wires with focus on improving its lifetime. An analysis of cutting process was made which confirmed low lifetime of lower cutting tool – average lifetime of cutting tool is 3 734 pieces. Suggestions were made in the thesis such as change of current technology, change of material of cutting tool or local change of cutting edge of the tool. Three changes were designed – insert from sintered carbide, hardfacing welding of the cutting edge and insert from high-speed steel. Testing of sintered carbide inserts ČSN ISO 513 HC – P80 and ČSN ISO 513 HC – P60 showed that sintered carbides are too brittle for cutting spring wires. Five hardfacing welding materials (HS6-5-2, HS2-9-2, X37CrMoW5-1, Stellite6 and Stellite12) have been tested. Material X37CrMoW5-1 had the best lifetime results with lifetime of 2 463 pieces. This material was further tested and average lifetime achieved was 2 021 pieces. However, there was decrease of hardness in a heat-affected zone. The last change of cutting edge was an insert from high-speed steels HS12-1-4 and HS10-4-3-10. These inserts were broken prematurely at the soldered joint and both high-speed steels exhibited cracks due to high material hardness (60 and 65 HRC), very low toughness at extremal loading.
Analysis and design of production technology of an ice screw
Vít, Richard ; Chladil, Josef (referee) ; Sliwková, Petra (advisor)
Glacier climbing starts to be very popular nowdays. Nevertheless it is a very dangerous sport so it requires high quality safety measurements. One of the tools which improves safety for climbers is the ice screw. The aim of this Master's Thesis is the design of the technology for the production of a glacier screw part. Specifically the shaft, which is one of the safety measurements. First part of thesis describes theoretical basics in this area, regarding climbing and its equipment, with a focus on the glacier screw. In the selected company was accomplish an analysis of the current process of glacier screw production. The new technology for the production of the screw shaft was design based on this result. Conclusion summarizes technical and economic evaluation of the improved processed.
Dry electrolytic polishing technology of Ti-6Al-4V alloy
Karešová, Pavla ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
The main part of the thesis deals with the finishing method of machining called DryLyte electrolytic polishing method. General concepts for measuring surface structure are also mentioned. The experimental part deals mainly with the study of the surface texture parameters of the turned sample before and after the application of the DryLyte method. The work shows that this is a very promising method for finishing metal-bonded materials, which can be used to obtain mirror-gloss surfaces, while the method itself does not require bulky and expensive equipment. In terms of surface finish quality, this method results in a reduction of surface roughness and an improvement in both surface and volume characteristics, always to the benefit of strengthening the core of the material.
A proposal of technology for the two-disc home grinder
Martinka, Jiří ; Zemčík, Oskar (referee) ; Sliwková, Petra (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of the production technology of the selected part. The chosen part comes from a two-disc home production made at the turn of the 1980s and 90s. It is a body that consists of five produced components. The work is elaborated with the body of the grinder and individual parts. A brief distribution of grinding machines and a theoretical analysis of used machining technologies. Above all, they are turning technologies, as well as drilling technologies, milling and folding. Materials and semi-finished products from which they will be produced were chosen for the individual part of the grinder body. Selected machinery and tool equipment, processed technological procedures of production for individual components of grinding agents and drawing documentation.
Production technology for an ignition stator body of the Jawa Pionýr motorcycle
Zeman, Petr ; Dvořák, Jaromír (referee) ; Sliwková, Petra (advisor)
The Jawa 50 motorcycles, produced in several models between 1958 and 1982, were equipped with several types of ignitions. From the current point of view, they are not satisfactory. The bachelor´s thesis describes the original designs, the commercial and amateur modifications of the ignition and its advantages and disadvantages, and deals with the innovative design and variants of mounting by individual coils. The work further deals with production of the ignition body by choosing a semi-finished product, machines and tools and compilation of a technological procedure and drawing documentation.
A proposal of insert production technology for an injection mold
Zemanová, Markéta ; Ohnišťová, Petra (referee) ; Sliwková, Petra (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the design of technology for the production of a removable insert into an injection mould. The main aim of the thesis is to elaborate the technological process of production of this component. In the introduction part of the thesis a research of technologies of production of injection moulds is carried out. The work also includes a description of the mold parts and their functions. Furthermore, the basic properties of the materials which are most commonly used for the production of inserts are described. The work is focused on the identification of mould defects in production and their possible causes. The thesis also describes the manufacturing technologies for the production of moulds. The practical part focuses on the design of a new pattern of replaceable component, the selection of tools, machines and gauges for the production of a new design of replaceable insert. A detailed assessment of the available options and the selected optimal production variants to achieve the quality and accuracy of the product is made. On the result of the proposed technical requirements, a technological procedure for the production of the insert to the injection mould. This process includes a precise description of the individual manufacturing operations, including material selection, drawing documentation, selection of gauges and tools, and programming of tool trajectories. Using these toolpaths, the production time for the selected machines was determined. The found results are compared with the production time of the same inserts of other designs and the possibilities of rationalizing the production process to achieve maximum production efficiency are discussed.

Řepa, Dominik ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the design of specific sunglasses produced by the FDM 3D printing method. The theoretical part contains characteristics of sunglasses and their production, characteristics of individual 3D printing methods, materials, 3D printer components and parameters for 3D printing of the model. In the experimental part, the 3D printed samples, which were heat treated to different temperatures, were subjected to a mechanical tensile test. In the next experimental part, regular sunglasses were subjected to hinge strength measurements. The evaluated parameters were evaluated and applied to the model. The resulting model was verified using FEM and a physical prototype of the sunglasses was subsequently created.
